Decent service and overall value
"I've used them for a number of fully developed sites for several years and have no real complaints. Uptime is good, easy to use. Reliable service and tech support. Email works ok. Never had a problem canceling hosting or domains. For the price, about as good as it gets. "

horrible service
"There's nothing good to say about this host. HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! it took 15 min and 3 people to cancel my account but after looking at other's comments, I just hope it works. I experienced much problems with email service like not being able to access the server. with all these problems, I could only think the same must be true for the web host. tech support was of no use. the customer should be first!!!"

Avoid Like the Plague
" 1&1 is by far the worst registrar I've dealt with. Once you change your DNS expect to be down for hours and even possibly days. Their support will try and tell you that it is the fault of the gaining host. Any one who deals with multiple domains will know this to be a lie. The same process with other registrars takes minutes. 1&1 is not a company you want to deal with unless you want headaches and down-time. "

Awful, awful, awful
"I HOPE I don't have the billing problems that other reviewers have had because I'll freaking flip if I do. They don't give accurate information about their software's capability before you sign up, their templates are 10 years outdated, their customer service is outsourced, they have you jump through hoops to change anything. I'm in the middle of changing my hosting and I'm having to go through ridiculous, unnecessary steps to change my DNS. Meanwhile I'm losing business and losing money! 1and1 SUCKS. Do not use them!! There are far superior sites out there that will give you a lot more freedom with the site that YOU pay for! "
