Bluehost rocks
" I've been with them for over 3 years now and the service gets better and better. At one point, I crashed one of my CMS sites due to my own mistakes, customer service was able to restore a server backup from the day before and I got everythign back up and running in less than an hour."

Poor service
"Their service has been very poor. My site has had incredible lag times, and the messed up a lot of my data when they trasfered it to them for me. They are not specialists at anything but poor service. I came to this site to find someone else to host with and leave blue host, and I was amazed the editors here have reviewed them so high. Sites liek this should only show user reviews, because it isn't like the editors have hosted at all of the sites they review for extended periods. You'll be feelin blue if you use blue host. "

Not impressed
"I'm not impressed by the this company. They have become to big on themselves. They think they know everything. This is not true. They like every company need our money to survive. I will no longer hand over my money to such an unfriendly company that is going to treat me poorly. No instead i'm going to move to a new company called Host Dune. They have been friendly and very helpful with any problems i have come across. My programming is not the best, so their helpfulness is much appreciated. They are also cheaper than blue host which makes me feel alot better about the switch. I save money and get better support!!! what is not to love there. I say join me in the revolution against the big buisness bullying us around and join a small company like Host Dune (url is www.hostdune.com). Thank you all for reading my post. I hope that you will reconsider using the "Host of the month"."

"I bought their service last week (Aug 2008). They've mainly been down since. No reply from 'customer' (sucker) service. go elsewhere."

Bluehost account decativations and downtimes
"I can't recommend the services of Bluehost. I had a lot of hassles with downtimes due to unexpected deactivations of my account. They just deactivated the account without any reason. If you try to use more than perhaps the average (I used 40GB of the 'unlimited' webspace) they try to kick you out. It's very anoying that the just deactivate accounts without any information upfront. Professional usage of their service is therefore not possible. There is always the risk of unexpected downtimes of the website."
