Avoid like the plague
"Although netfirms is one of the biggest web hosting companies their customer support is terrible. The staff simply don't care and will always respond with a canned semi-edited/pasted response. It's as though they employ people who have no technical know-how whatsoever and give them a manual with a script to copy and paste responses from. The server is not that great either, very slow during peak times and their mysql and php is painfully slow. Another annoying thing is when you log in using your ftp client you're disconnected even if you're idle for no more than a minute. In short, don't be fooled by the size of this company, you'll regret it!"

netfirms.com failures on systems or corrupted employees
"I’m really upset, I know that they do not charge a lot for domain registration and for that reason plus tons of advertising they have many businesses but this could be the cause that they have been making “mistakes or failures” frequently. I bough my domain name whit them, some days after I try to get it for the first time but I can not get access, I sent a email about this issue, they answer me that the payments was not executed… next I contact then, and the answer was that they need a scan of my credit card.. I did it so and email to them.. But after that they said that they do no receive the mail “sorry… I reviewed my sent folder emails and everything works well, no deliveries failures etc. I was so worry, that my info is floating around the internet (nobody knows) jeopardizing my identity, money etc. I have to call my bank to cancel my credit card and they told me that they have 2 cases more with the same firm… So do match… failures on systems or corrupted employees… Is up "

Slow and unreliable
"We've been hosted on Netfirms for a few months now, lots of problems with logs and emails. I've never seen tech support to drag their feet in replying as much as Netfirms seems to. I have some sites at Dreamhost, and while they're not perfect by any means, at least the tech support gets back to you quickly. Last time I had problems I got a canned reply which didn't help me in 3 days, and my problem finally solved in a week. That's unacceptable."

blatant liers
" They say and advertise they use commerce pro, and they support credit card processors for commerce pro such as beanstream, but after signing up for beanstream which costs money, breanstream tells me they needed proof that the security holes they found were either fixed or false positives, and netfirms would not support me at all for this. "
