They used to be good
"They were really good when I signed up with them 3 years ago, but now they've gone downhill. As I am writing this my site + email is down nearly 24 hours now. This is not the first time, but so far it's the longest downtime. I've tried accessing other Startlogic hosted sites and they're down too. Ever since they were acquired by the new owners & the switch to the new web control panel software, they've "jumped the shark". Last month my site was hacked into and a bad script was added to it that caused Google to list it as a dangerous site. This happened even though I wasn't running any scripts in my pages & my password being randomly generated by a password generator. Anyways I'm looking for a new host now. "

They should put "Service" in quotes
"I had the "service" for two weeks, and my website was up and running maybe one day. First off, I go to make a photo page with their CM4 webpage-building software and come to find that they've "disabled" this feature because it isn't working properly. They tell me to use one of their free downloads to build a photo page; when I ask how, they tell me they don't support any outside software. When I go to publish my site, it never goes live. After calling in, tech support tells me, condescendingly, that I'm publishing to the wrong place. Yeah, the place their system defaulted to. I make some minor changes to my site, and it fails to publish every time. I call in and get five separate "tickets" to fix the issue, and it is never fixed. Tech support just does some minor tweak, considers it fixed, and doesn't even check the site to see if it's functioning properly. After four days of trying to get it resolved, I cancelled. And my website was about as simple as it gets. Awful!"

Don't use it
" It has never worked correctly. If you are a business, go pay the extra money it takes to host your site. "

Bad from the start
" My experience with StartLogic has been bad from the start. Their tech support people are not helpful. In fact, they are frequently misleading. After their migration, I could not make changes to the website I created using their old software. I could not believe it at first, but several technicians told me that I would have to rebuild the site from scratch again. Well, as long as I had to rebuild it anyway, I figured I might as well transfer to a more helpful company. I am a non-technical person trying to maintaining a small, uncomplicated website. I think that their system requires too much knowledge of how web design works. For beginners it is too confusing. And then with inadequate tech support, it is really bad. Oh and also transferring out of StartLogic was truly a nightmare. "
