Dreamhost is very Poor Service, Dont use this hosting if you have multiple sites, domains. No any online support, sometimes server gets down for a week with no any reason. Everytime i have tried their webapphelp live support they were offline. Very Very Poor Service!!!!!

DreamHost was alright. But this year has been horrible. They've been down weekly for many hours at a time. I've had issues connecting via FTP. I had my entire account deleted and then after nearly crying, it was back up again. Check out DreamHost status and the comments. There was 1500 for their last 'acknowledged' outage. Everyone is saying the same thing: we've been with you for awhile and it was ok, but now you are horrible. It's slow, it's terrible. I heard much better things about Host Gator. And if you need MySQL, don't even think of DreamHost. They have seperate servers for the database and they are slow.

I started hosting with Dreamhost when I didn't know much about web publishing. Their user panel was great to get me started building Wordpress, Pligg, and various forum sites - and as I've learned the capability of the service has scaled with my needs. Sometimes the shared serves are a little slow, but that tends to be a problem with all shared hosting services. Where Dreamhost has an advantage over the others, then, is that they're a good bit cheaper and once you get more traffic you can quickly and easily scale your account to VPS speeds. Now, if this is for a personal blog or a hobby, you're set. Dreamhost has great software for building sites quickly, automatic backups, and a lot of other features that will make your experience convenient. HOWEVER: You'll probably get faster speeds and more uptime on a VPS where you have to install your own LAMP. I would probably recommend Linode or Slicehost instead if you feel comfortable installing MYSQL servers from a Linux command lin

Encountered numerous issues after their recent security breach. Support blames everything else, and issues continue even after following their suggestions. IMHO, they have a lot of internal issues they can't or won't address. I'm moving my hosted sites elsewhere, really have no choice.

Beware. I have been using Dreamhost for 3 years and lived with their middle of the road offer. In recent months, service issues are terrible, downtimes, load time outs, compromised accounts... And: It's slow! I moved servers twice - no improvement. You have been warned.

What is happening at Dreamhost is a mystery. I've never experienced service disruption like this in the 3 years i've been with them. I have 2 VPS, one of them went down last week and they restored it 4 days after, with a two week old backup. Now it's my other VPS that hasn't been responding in the last 2 days. Getting answers from support takes a lot of time - which is understandable, everyone wants answer. But the only thing you get is We apologise, Sorry, please watch Dreamhoststatus for updates. I'm very sorry for that, Dreamhost was a fantastic hoster, with lots of goodies, no headaches to administer. But it had become unreliable.

We have been using Dreamhost for almost 7 years. In the last few years, we have had numerous problems--our website disappeared, our email accounts haven't worked, their servers are down. The last few months have been particularly bad. Their customer support is terrible, no phone service and the online service ticket takes forever to get a response. I am finally fed up and am moving to another hosting site.

I am not really sure what has been going on with Dreamhost lately but they are going downhill fast. I have been a Dreamhost customer since 2003 and their servers and email have had a LOT of downtime in the past few years. Once in a blue moon is a "hey it happens" but I have been dealing with outages for the past month. From entire domains down, to hacker infiltration forcing all users to reset their passwords, to no email access on and off for a few weeks now. I have put up with it until now only because the price was ideal and was too lazy to transfer all of my domains and accounts elsewhere. I do not recommend Dreamhost unless you don't care about not getting your email for days or you site is down occasionally. When you run a business that relies on email and a website, this is not an option. I am not a disgruntled customer with stupid issues, I am beyond savvy in the computer and internet world and I assure you this is not operator error on my part. I would have to admit that their tech support is good, price is good and user-friendliness is really good. But none of that matters if you can't do your job or work when their servers are down.

I have worked with dreamhost for a while now and I plan on moving everything to another company. They charged my account for hosting fees when I never signed up for them in the first place. Also after asking for money back they charged me an additional $50 standard fee, which makes no sense, as I never signed up for anything in the first place!! Terrible. There is no phone number anywhere to call and if you'd like to call you have to pay $20 which is ridiculous!!! Do not use dreamhost!!!

I've been with Dreamhost for about 6 years,
and I'm in the process of choosing a new
hosting service now.
Dreamhost was once the best value on the
internet. Low prices, reliable service, and a
wide range of features gave them a clear
edge, and for the first five years or so, I never
had a glitch.
Recently, I moved my employer's web presence
onto Dreamhost, because I trusted them and
relied on their long-standing reputation for
reliability and value.
Now, Dreamhost is in its third major outage --
our e-mail and web service have been
disrupted for up to 12 hours at a time, three
times this year alone. That's when I realized
why they hide themselves, ignoring every form
of communication other than their web panel ...
which was down itself for 4 hours this morning.
Now I'm explaining to my CEO in triplicate
precisely why I chose these clowns.
My advice? If you're a hobbyist and can stand
some downtime, it might still be a bargain. If
you need reliability, go elsewhere.
