My web site has been down all day, it's a business site and this is
costing me money. First they said it would be back up in a half hour,
then they said 8 hours, now they say they don't know when. When
I asked them about reliability and why they don't have any
redundancy in their servers they said that for what they charge this
is what you get. Well, I'm not going to stay with them much
longer.......

These guys are awesome. One thing I like about them is that they have people i can understand, not outsourcing there support. Along with that they have one of the best deals out there on the web. Watch out people, this host will blow your socks off....

Yahoo! is a huge mistake. They're much too expensive. Their customer service is incompetent. The email account is impossible. They have been a hastle from the start, and I really just want to get out....

This perhaps is a misunderstanding. The reason we offer unlimited disk space and bandwidth is because we want you to focus on our features and support, not on how much disk space and bw you get. Most people don't realize how much disk space they actually need. We decided to offer unlimt. disk space and bw in order to remove those factors from your decision, because customer support and reliability make a good host, not a few extra gigs of space.
We would never make a customer upgrade because they are using too much disk space or bandwidth. Generally when we contact customers for VPS upgrades it is because their sites are higher in CPU and memory usage, as some sites are just not suitable for a shared hosting environment. This would be true with almost host that runs shared hosting services -- if one site on a server is 'hogging' system resources, it affects performance for everyone else. This is basically the only situation in which we would request a customer to move to a VPS....
Globat

I'm very new customer of Globat and I got here to read your reviews. I've read many complaints about the auto-charge procedures of Globat.
Guys! Use prepaid Visas or an electron visa number instead (the one linked with a debit, NOT credit account).
Link the debit account with an Internet Banking and GET the credit control. After this, let them charge gaining NOTHING.
In the mean while find out if their offer really works.

Yahoo Hosting

I'm a soon-to-be-former Yahoo web hosting customer with 2 websites. There are constant problems with accessing databases, and their tech support is nonexistent. I'm really disappointed with the lost time to my business monkeying around with these idiots. I chose Yahoo because I figured on their blue chip name and solid reputation and their management of Yahoo.com I couldn't go wrong. But I did. Stay away!...

1) Email repeatedly has trouble being sent due to "server problems"
2) Site is down for 6+ hours: due to "server problems"
3) When we had some problems with SMF forum software, an HM tech person falsely stated that it was being discontinued. ...
Web Hosting Pad

Reviewer: BDD
The services offered are fantastic, but I have just lost all of my web
sites and e-mails for the second time, and I'm not getting any
response from support. Last time this happened, webhostingpad had
no back up, and I had to set everything up again from scratch.
Worse still, using IMAP email (which is brilliant) is problematic when
the server is lost and setting up a new account then deletes
everything from your computer. ...
Bluehost

While the front of the site says "BlueHost specializes in customer satisfaction" Unless its a problem that effect a large number of users customer satisfaction isn't a concern.
The awstats Stats have not been working properly since July 9th -every time I do a live chat or call support they have a different excuse but it is now July 21 and its still not fixed - in fact on July 18 it says the site had zero visitors when it had over 3000 so it is very clear that there is a problem.
Ive been told in blue host live chats everything from since I'm the only one reporting the problem -there is no problem to if I don't like it to upgrade and pay 695.00 for a private server if I want correct stats.
All they have is multiple excuses for the problems and and no solutions.

Globat

Reviewer: Andrew T.
My biggest beef with Globat was their automatic upgrade policy, which automatically bills you, and you must opt-out of. I don't like Globat deciding how my money should be spent, and automatically billing for it.
Their uptime is good, but their support is somewhat mediocre....
