When all I wanted from a host was to experiment with something other than angelfire.com's very small free space, I was reasonably happy to find an affordable host in Web Site Source for my hobby site that generates no income. Lately, though, (last two months) I've taken my hobby site to a new level by adding phpBB2 from WSS apps and discovered that you can't upload photos to BB2 so I asked through email why they hadn't installed the BB3 upgrade and I could tell the kid on the other end had no clue why not and had no power to have this upgrade made. Thus I embarked on an individual upgrade that was way beyond my knowledge base. I had to learn unix or linix or something like that to get the upgrade installed. I had tech support help me several times and they honestly did a good fast job but still didn't seem to understand that this service should be universally installed. Now everyone is happy with my forum but I can't get logged into my WSS account and chat tech support is inop

I have used them for years and their service goes down each year. They are not pro-active when they make upgrades and don't care that your e-commerce site is down for days. They are cheap but you get what you pay for in service. They do not understand that people try to make money from their websites and don't care that your site is down. I would never recommend them. We have had major down time with them at the worst times and have received very poor service. If you have a site that uses e-commerce find another provider.

I was with websitesource since 2003. They were a fantastic and responsive host. Then, probably around the time they were acquired, the level of service began to decline rapidly. Tech support was nonexistent. The only way to contact them would be via email, to which they would NEVER respond. The only department that would answer the phone was billing (big surprise), and they would be rude and unhelpful. They don't deserve your hard-earned money.

I've been with Websitesource since 2005, I never experienced a problem with their support, or any major problem with my site. I love their support, even my problems were outside their scope of support, they would still help me to solve them. They had some issues recently, I think they were doing some type of migration, I had little down time at that time, and I thought about leaving, opened up a new account at hostgator, and after receiving terrible support, switched back to Websitesource. Since May 2009, I didn't even have 1 minute downtime, they are the best hosting company, they know how to treat their customers.. and now they have really good plans, check them out! Recommended!

You will be much better off else ware. I used these guys for years. Over time they turned off their phone support, live chat support disappeared, email support is rude and unhelpful with a 72 hour response. Also looks like many of their servers were hacked and I suffered major data loss. I am switching to godaddy.com They are cheap, they have some great unlimited features, but not worth the head ache. Only worse nightmare I have had was registerfly.com
