I have been with these guys for YEARS. Why, I have no clue. Other than they have given me a lot of free product! Why? They are constantly screwing something up...or their products don't work properly! They should spend their money on experienced tech support that don't delete databases and RUIN massive amounts of data, INSTEAD of stupid commercial and ridiculous race car drivers! They have great concepts, they just can't provide ANY reliability. SPEND YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE!!!

I've used Godaddy as my host for several years. In the beginning, the tech support was a bit drab but has improved over time. OTOH, Customer service has sunk to new lows, especially given Godaddy's aggressive billing practices. They often make billing errors and of course the onus of responsibility falls on the consumer. As of today, the only way I can get a refund for their latest blunder is to cancel my account entirely and then they'll grant a prorated refund on a domain I don't even own or manage!

I've installed Joomla and the connectivity through my admin panel is so bad that it locks me out of my domain for a few minutes after every single edit that I make. I'm on this site right now looking for a NoGoDaddy replacement, their IT guys take a typical 'it's the user's fault' approach to problem solving. BTW my Joomla setup at another host is flawless.

I have been a web publisher and programmer for decades and manage high profile sites. I moved serveral domains to godaddy a while back with no problems but..... They started blocking emails coming from a large, well established site that has been doing business for over a decade due to their "flawed" anti-spam software. This site only sends lagit email as part of daily operations as in ecommerce, inquiries to advertisers, etc. They hide this from their customers who may be having critical emails blocked without their knowledge. The sender is only provided a criptic "Message Delivery Failure" reply which does not even mention goddady or where to dispute the block. If you rely on email for your communications, I suggest moving your domain elsewhere.

I'm a web designer and navigating godaddy's site just to do a simple renew is a nightmare. Web support generic answer to any problem is "cannot replicate this issue". PHP scripting stopped working and they blamed my code. Another generic answer. pay the bucks and go with another company - it will save you time and aggravation.
