Netfirms has hosted my site for about 5-6 years now. I have near zero complaints. Yes, you have to wait on hold sometimes for 5-10 minutes but the advice and professionalism and knowledge make it worth the wait. They have been most easy to work with. I would and have recommended them for any small business.

When i start with netfirms i choose the $14,99 hosting plan... but i use to much CPU and i have a lot of technical problems with thems, i ask the technical support to resolve the problem but the copy-past answer was you have to upgrade your account... i upgrade until i pay $49,99 and now more problems with the databases... my website is very slow until 2 weeks the dont answer about the problem, only copy and past answer!! if you have money to loose go with Netfirms

Although netfirms is one of the biggest web hosting companies their customer support is terrible. The staff simply don't care and will always respond with a canned semi-edited/pasted response. It's as though they employ people who have no technical know-how whatsoever and give them a manual with a script to copy and paste responses from. The server is not that great either, very slow during peak times and their mysql and php is painfully slow. Another annoying thing is when you log in using your ftp client you're disconnected even if you're idle for no more than a minute. In short, don't be fooled by the size of this company, you'll regret it!
