We use websitesource primarily for POP mail and FTP. As described elsewhere, they are frequently down. But they are also frequently up, but blocked from sending mail because they leave their servers open to hackers. Tech support is poor, clueless, and lately non-existent. I had a tech. support person hang up on my chat session about two sentences in with no explanation and no replacement. The price is low, but what you get isn't worth it.

I was with websitesource for 2.5 years with a MIVA store. While it seemed like a good deal to start with, the speed of the server was slow... very slow. When I left (I moved to hostasaurus.com), they didn't give a refund for the remaining time left (I paid annually and left 8 months after paying for the full year). Not good. I agree with other reviewers that the customer service is lackluster and the billing department takes a "so what" approach. Do yourself a favor, if you are looking for MIVA hosting, go to hostasaurus.com. A couple of bucks more than Websitesource, but far better service, reliability and speed!

I have been with Websitesource for years now. I started with small packages and got larger ones (the latest was a VPS) once my business started growing. At every level package there has been a multitude of problems, including constant downtime. I cannot even guess at the amount of money I have lost due to their lousy service. The technicians are friendly enough, but they seem as they couldn't care less about anything you complain about. I even spoke to the owner one day, and she couldn't care either. I've never seen a company that was more apathetic about their own business, and the lack of quality. They are ALWAYS suffering DOS (Denial Of Service) attacks which cause all their servers to stop running. They will always make it seem like it is normal to be down an hour or so per day, and that you are just being picky for wanting better service. I am now having to search for a better company... it will take my site down for some time... but it will be better in the long run.

I have hosted with website source for 6 years and it has been a terrible experience. Their support staff gives out wrong information all the time and won't take responsibility. Their billing department is VERY rude. The site is down 10% of the time. They don't honor their 99.9% uptime guarantee. Don't even think about hosting an ASP site on their servers. It RARELY works, and they don't monitor the ASP service, so you have to call and tell THEM that their ASP service has stopped running. And when they fix it, their attitude is "oh well." It's working now. If you ever do a live chat with support you MUST keep copies because they will deny everything. Emails don't get answered. Their control panel ticket system doesn't work. Don't return phone calls. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE like hostmonster.com Also, I was an affiliate and never saw a dime after the first referral. I couldn't log in either. Their marmarketing control panel disappeared one day without warning. Do yourself a favor and
