i tied to lunarpage for two years, this year is a nightmare. I try to install WordPress in my Window hosting, about 2 months, i still cannot have my own blogs. If install ONE WP, ya, great! if install more than 1 WordPress then ErrorS. Then need help from support team, Mr.A told me, there is a setting they need to do at backend, Mr. B told me he successfully installed 2 WP in my domain, but it is not really work well, but another WP installed perfectly. After i tried it by myself, omg, the 3 blogs not work well anymore. Anyone installed WP b4 also know not more than 5 minutes to install it. After few respond tickets, they will just let me wait for 3 hours, 5 hours, 1 day, 2 days. Then Mr.C ask me the same questions so i repeat the same answers to him. Again and again... Give Up. The Speed & connection at my side is very slow(only lunarpages) but may be is my IsP problem. Their Price keep lower, n their service too.
I still have yet to figure out how "Web Hosting Geeks" marked this provider as anything above 50%. We used to host six Web sites with Lunarpages and over the past two years moved each one as the renewal came due. Recently Lunarpages sent a notice about a hardware/server move from L.A. to San Diego. Never mentioned our Web site would be down, mentioning only inconsequential issues like, what software upgrades to expect and emphasizing the customer not make changes to data.
Needless to say our Web site has been inaccessible for the past two days!
Regardless of what your financial status or hosting needs, there are far too many better hosting services - if your Web site is not being viewed by potential customers, who cares how much the hosting costs were. Learn from us, spend a couple more dollars a month, and your business will thank you.
I've been with LP since they started and have been very happy when my site is running. I was on on of the old servers and they upgraded with no issues, they are always polite when I talk to them.
The big issue I have had is tech support. When I open a ticket, it is answered by staff that seems to be there just to make me feel like I'm being helped. And turn-around is very slow. Normal senario upon opening a ticket is a two hour wait, I get a response asking a question that is usually obvious, I reply, after another two hour wait, another question, I reply, then another two hour wait, etc, etc... Even if I tell them the answer, I still have to go through this dance.
I assume they are understaffed on true unix techs.
If they were to raise the bar even a little on tech. support, this would be a nice hosting company. Until then, don't be surprised if your site is down a day or so waiting to get to the person who can help.
But, this seems to be fairly common with hosters, oh well.

I've been with lunarpages for years and have recommended website clients use them many times. I'm now switching because, after a credit card blunder (i refused the charge because i wasn't aware they were charging me for a client's site), they are requiring me to *send them a check in the mail* in addition to a $20 penalty!!! they refuse to bill any credit card of mine. this seems archaic and unnecessary after a $20 penalty! i'm going elsewhere and will not send my clients to them in the future.
Mail server in Lunarpages is EXTREMELY terrible, we have experienced ZERO incoming emails from our customers in one month.
Their mail server gets down frequently, which caused all of website customers on their server can't receive any emails.
If you doing business online, don't use Lunarpages, they will kill your online business!
