I have been with StartLogic for over 8 years. I have had problems throughout, but I thought these were standard with servers. But recently it has been unbelievably bad so I tested a couple of other servers. All of the below worked absolutely standard on Dreamhost and Secureserver - I didn't do anything special. They just worked straight off. But I have paid for another 2 years at StartLogic so I am stuck with them. I use the standard VLE Moodle. StartLogic has so many issues with Moodle that it is impossible to believe. It would not restore from backup (stripped all the angle tags from the html) - I had to get them to transfer my database. (Their PHP 5 version is corrupt.) Standard packages on Moodle will not work, e.g. TEX (a standard math rendering package) will not render equations even after I manually reset the privileges. So I cannot get any math equations at all. The simplescript for Moodle 2# does not collate properly so you cannot use anything other than latin characters. Their knowledge base either doesn't work or is useless, but they are always referring you to it. They have wonderful friendly free 24x7 support, but apparently their engineering department is terrible because they never actually fix any of the technical problems. Conclusion: Don't host with StartLogic.

Horrible service! My retail site was parked with Startlogic and it crashed when trying to update the security certificate. One week later, their 'service' department is still trying to figure out the problem and my website is still gone. I can't even begin to guess how many holiday sales we are losing every day, yet Startlogic couldn't care any less. They give very little information as to what they are doing and have promised to charge me over $200 to 'fix' the problem they can't seem to fix. Try someone else - these guys suck!

I have used this company for 5+ years to host several business domains with building products for the construction industry. I have had multiple email addresses functioning without issue for business communication. One week ago, customers were telling me they were not receiving my email communications. I contacted Support. After a week of tickets, Chats, phone calls, I receive the same word. "Because we are using CloudMark and they have tagged your shared IP address, there is nothing we can do". I'm done with Startlogic. My suggestion is to take your business elsewhere unless you want offshore conversations that net no results!

BETTER TO FIND ANOTHER PROVIDER UNLESS YOU LIKE TO WAIT ON THE PHONE CALL FOREVER TO GET SERVICE!!

I have had so many problems with this hosting company with their terrible customer service and expensive hosting!!! DO NOT USE THEM is my advice.

Over the past year, we have had nothing but headaches with Start Logic. We have been billed by companies for services that we had no idea Start Logic had farmed out! We call thinking they have worked out the billing problem to see the same thing come back time and time again!! Read my lips--you will have nothing but problems with Start Logic!!

I have been a reseller for over 15 years and transferred my accounts to them over 2 years ago. It has been nothing but a bad experience. I have had one headache after another. Before they switched to foreign customer service it was hard to get them to help or get then to respond. I am now in the process of moving all my accounts from them to different servers. Be warned DO NOT HOST YOUR WEBSITE WITH STARTLOGIC.COM.

If you're looking for a new webhost, steer clear of Startlogic. They have terrible customer service. I had an issue and was told a manager would call me back right away. More than 24 hours later she called back and left a message telling me to submit a trouble ticket. Today I finally got through to a person who speaks English. When I told her the issue and what I was told by TWO different techs, she immediately said it was wrong. I spent at least an hour & a half on the phone with their techs and another two hours fixing the issues caused by the inaccurate info.

Beware. Extremely dishonest. After 2 years raised price $50 with very little invoice information. One story was inflation, and another story was that original price was "introductory". That information is not on their web site. No need to debate just walk away to a company with better business practices.

Run away is right! This is the worst web hosting company I have ever dealt with. The tech support is farmed out to India and they just don't get it. Too much down time also.
