I have 12 domains, the first one I registered and started hosting with a different company. I transferred it to inmotionhosting.com. I was amazed at their level of customer service. They answer the phone quickly and are always willing to help out. I have since registered 11 more domains with them. I have 5 of them hosted and 7 parked. Only thing that I wish I could do is to setup a catchall email address. Great company and great customer service

Here are three reasons why I love imh. Reason 1: Inmotionhosting's pricing plan seems very reasonable to me as a small business user. This is important because value is important to me. Reason 2: They worked seamlessly with our programming staff to get our site up and running at every opportunity. Reason 3: The tech support from the live chat was spot on and I DID NOT HAVE TO WAIT for a live person ever. Inmotionhosting is pretty cool and I would (and HAVE) recommend them to anyone. I just signed up for In MOtion hosting last week, and quickly ran into a problem. During hours of help via the chatline, and on the phone, I must have spoken with more than 5 different tech support folks. Every single one of them was courteous, consistent and skilled. They showed patience with me as a newbie techie, a sense of humor and a level of expertise that is by no means normal in the world of techsupport Not once did they blame me, blow me off or give up. James O. ---who finally solved the problem was superb but so were all the other guys, in cluding Pat, and all the folks listed in the attached chat documents. I am really really impresed...that kind of consistency only happens when the managers are excellent as well

Besides the wonderful price/service ratio the most important aspect of a hosting company is it's customer support. InMotionHosting nailed it with its 24/7 Customer Service, with absolute minimum waiting time before a friendly and professional Tech Support Agent is ready to chat on the life chat or phone. They're hard to top!

I've been using Inmotion as my web hosting provider for a little over 2 years now without a hitch.

Their tech support can be reached 24/7 via online web chat or phone to assist you with any questions you have. I needed help setting up somethings on my website and they helped me out with it and were very patient during the entire process.

If I had to complain about anything, and this is nit picking, I really wished that the Accounting / Billing Department was active 24/7 as well. They already have a large part of the day covered in their hours, but were all human here, and any website builder loves to build their site at around 2 AM and wishes that they can remove a domain or other service and replace it with another at any time. Again, this is nit picking but that is really my only quibble.

Otherwise, I am a very happy customer and haven't even bothered looking elsewhere for hosting because I haven't been let down by Inmotion.

I called in with a question about my hosting account yesterday, and your tech, Mike S. took my call. I use Joomla! on my website, and while I’m learning more about it every day, there’s still a lot that I don’t know. Mike was able to take a look at my .htaccess file and figure out what I had NOT done that kept the SEF links from working. Thanks to Mike’s help I was saved hours of time and frustration in getting this part of my website configured. You’ve got some great people working for you, and you are evidently doing a great job with training your employees to develop raving fans. Thanks for the great support experience,

i just thought i would write this down since it was never mentioned.. it is a Linux based webhosting.. i.e they would support php, but not asp... so just be aware of that. i love the live chat feature since you can get your questions answered. i have not used there service so i cannot rate any of the others

I'm pretty new for making web site. I'm a photographer, not web design related person. After I start making Web site with Mac iweb, I asked for help through email, sure more than several times, their reaction was amazed. They even reply on Sunday Night at 11:30pm!!! Isn't this enough for service? Strongly recommendable.

I've only set up my account tonight but they called me to confirm my purchase within 2 minutes and the agent that called me was very professional and courteous. The welcome email was what it should be unlike the dozen previous hosting companies I've been with. The control panel and all the software is fast and user friendly, yet contains more then I've seen from any competitor. Will definitely move all my domains over when it's time to renew.

When I started my food blog I was new to blogging and choosing a hosting company. The first one I was with turned out to be a disaster. Issues with up time, a server crash, and tech support that was not readily available. I desperately needed help! A friend referred me to In Motion for my hosting needs. They have been fantastic! No bandwidth issues, no up- time problems and their tech support people are fantastic. They have consistently worked out my problems and patiently answered my questions. And I can easily use their tools for backing up my site after each post. I am so glad I found In Motion!

I have been with a number of hosting companies in the last 8 years, and a small business owner I do not have the personnel to create and manage a website, so I bare the burden. Time is money for me, as is in most businesses, and Inmotion Hosting has proven itself to me as a fast and reliable service provider. After submitting a request to activate a program in the web hosting plan I was ready to wait at least 24 hours for awhile. In under 10 minutes Kyle of Inmotion activated this,even though it was in the middle of the night. Hats off to Kyle and Inmotion for their customer service I will be staying with them for many years.

Bar none, this is the best web host I could find after extensively researching. Best price, best space, unbeatable customer service. They do have lifetime domain name renewal, but that isn't mentioned on their website, so I almost had second thoughts. After several years with a host that charges extra for everything, I am very happy with InMotion!

I switched to Inmotion about a year ago from another hosting provider. I'm not the most technically savvy person, so they helped me a TON with the transfer of my sites. They are unbelievably responsive - most of my questions were responded to within 15 minutes. I also went from tons of horrible spam (with my other provider) to zero spam immediately! The user interface is so great. Their prices are reasonable. I'm very happy I made the switch.

I have to say customer support is usually the thing that I look forward the most when going with a webhosting company. It´s easy to find decent prices and space but when it comes down to customer support it´s often a nightmare. Inmotion has been excellent. Whatever issue you might have, they go out of their way to help you out. I would definitely recommand them and I´m very happy that I switched for a webhoster who cares about my concerns. If you are like me and prefer spend your time working on the creative side of your websites, you won´t be disapointed by the service offer. I started with 1 plan and I´m now considering getting for my third one. Ben.

I feel very comfortable moving my site to InMotion despite the fact that I've been hesitant to change hosts for the past 14 years. Tech support has been wonderful (I now have a VPS account). I would highly recommend them (and believe me I've been shopping around extensively). I look forward to working with them for another decade (or more)!

I appreciate InMotion Hosting's customer service. I recently moved a site to their hosting service because of good reviews and BBB ratings. After the transfer, we needed to get our e- mail setup similar to our old server and see how some other aspects would work on the new server. When I have called customer service, they were very helpful, informed, and capable to answer my questions. I am grateful to have talked with several technical support personnel who know how their systems work. I even had a question that stumped one support person. He put me on hold, asked another more experienced support person the question, and came back to give me an answer. InMotion has showed me they will go the extra mile to help my business be a success. I hope to continue seeing this great service as I work more with InMotion servers.

A few weeks ago, I was victim of a hacker attack on my WordPress account that I am hosting with InMotion Web Hosting. Suddenly, I couldn't access my account any more, and my blog had been replaced with a hacker site via a re-route! I immediately contacted customer service via LiveChat, and although I contacted them during their night time (I live in Australia), they were available after only 1 minute wait. They told me exactly what to do, and I had an answer to my trouble ticket in less than 10 hours in my inbox. They had restored their backup version of my site, which meant my blog was functioning again, and after another question (once again answered in a couple of hours), they even helped me retrieve access to my hacked WordPress account! That's what I call great customer service - when a company understands how important it is to work in a timely fashion, and helping customers achieve their goals with minimum hassle! I've been a big fan of Inmotion Web Hosting ever since!

I use Inmotion Web Hosting for my business web site. I've been delighted with the friendly and rapid service. Most recently I had a problem uploading files in the middle of the night. I sent off an email and got a response in about 5 minutes! They fixed my problem and had me going again in a total of about 15 minutes. Did I mention rapid? I couldn't be happier with them.

We are based in Europe so initially we had concerns over the time difference with the USA and the potential delays for support. We have been with inmotion hosting for nearly two years now and whenever we have had a problem or question, it has been resolved exceptionally quickly. If the issue gets complicated we have noted that the support team never gives up until the issue is resolved satisfactorily. We are very happy and impressed with the support we have had so far.

I have been an InMotion Hosting customer for several years now. I cannot rate them highly enough. Everyone that deals with online business or business people has experienced the norm. The norm is poor customer service, poor response time and VERY POOR staff experience. These days most of us deal with International companies. The phone calls are mostly free so that is not an issue. Generally, a very high percentage of companies pay their staff peanuts and they get monkeys. When you employ staff like that and don't put considerable time and expense into training them, your business outputs poor service. I have dealt with InMotion's staff on many occasions as a web designer and business owner. EVERY contact has not only been pleasant but very swift and my issues are always resolved in a most efficient manner. They certainly take the stress out of your day. Very well spoken ENGLISH SPEAKING staff makes a huge difference. Thank you for being the best company I have ever dealt with EVER

New Dedicated Server Experience, Jun 09, 2010

I am transitioning from a Windows 2003 Dedicated Server and another ISP provider to InMotionHosting and their Elite Dedicated Server package. I'm new to Linux/Apache but definitely wanted out of the Windows world. I've also used InMotionHosting for my personal web site for about a year so had that experience to start with. The reviews spoke well for InMotionHosting and that went a long way to give them a try as a dedicated solution. So far our needs to establish and transfer 14 web sites to the Elite Server have gone very well. The server runs well and Tech Support responds quickly and to the point. I've had some Linux and CPanel questions; What the available movies don't talk about, tech has given me the answers I've needed and generally in good time. A HUGE help. So far so good. I would recommend InMotionHosting to anyone at this early point in time,,, I hope to follow up more quality comments in a year!

I have been a customer of one particular hosting company (their name has pow in it) for about eight years. They have gotten a little better over the years, but the industry has gotten a LOT better over the years. Pow has not kept up. I put up with it because it is a pain to switch hosts for a dozen domains. Finally I started a new account at inmotion for one of my new customers. O M G. What a huge difference in every way. I think of myself as a seasoned (==old) demanding (==pain in the ass) no-compromise information professional. My customers depend on me to deliver solutions, and it is important that I host their web sites on a company who delivers service that is as good as mine. Every aspect of my interaction with imnotion has been quick, efficient, and impressive. They treat me like an intelligent IT professional and (so far) have answered every question that I have.

Was going to purchase hosting (business power plan) as my friend had been letting me use space on his inmotion vps but I wanted my own space. Called to ask a fairly simple question - rep was condescending. Basically, he knew what I was asking but maybe I wasn't using the exact proper terms. I know the rep doesn't lose 1 cent but I can't give this company money after that. Friend has told me they also have an attitude when he's called for support.

I'm in agreement with my business partner comments below, we are Huygens Audio who are an audio manufacture and distribution company.

We was previously using the services of another hosting company when suddenly all of our passwords were changed without notice and our FTP setting were changed, when you are running a business these inconveniences can make or break a small business, we demand high quality service because that is what we offer our customers, and by not being able to use your e-mail because they change your passwords without notification does not create a good impression when you can't reply to your customers needs.

We are currently awaiting the transfer of the domain, to date we have found the services offered by this company to be of the kind of standard that we require to run our small business successfully.

The price is forgotten when quality shines through, pay cheap, pay twice is our belief. The prices are affordable for any business, they are insignificant if you want your business out there.

We both at Huygens Audio hope it remains a lasting relationship with them and they can help us too to full fill our own personal dreams.

We hope we are in safe hands.

I've just started with Inmotion and my first impressions are very positive and I must say I'm very impressed with the quality of service, professionalism,efficiency and friendliness, coming from Spain I've grown used to the manaña mentality and red tape paperwork, so this easy set up came as a breath of fresh air.

Set up was dead simple, I called them in the USA as I am in Spain where I was greeted by a young lady (I think) with a delightful accent that definitely made the cost of the call and fees all the more worthwhile, but the poor girl had to listen to me speaking London Cockney and mumbling away so I kept it as brief as possible even though I could have listen to her voice all day, ha.

Moving on, set up was a breeze, I decided to use there online web builder which again is a breeze to use and gives very professional looking results for a peanuts price wise, what more could you ask? no more fluffing about in dreamweaver, this cute programme is a doodle to use, even I could use it.

So that's my first impressions, you send them a email and in a short space you get a professional friendly reply, that's what I call good service, something sadly lacking today.

To date I'll give them 11 out of 10, 10 for service and the extra 1 for the girl with the enchanting accent.

Only Been with them ~3 months, already very disappointed., Jun 02, 2010

It was my first negative experience, but with ~4 hours of downtime and only 3 months with Inmotionhosting, my personal experience with them is much less than their claimed 99.9% uptime (<9 hours downtime a year). When problems with their east coast server took out my site and many others, their support line couldn’t handle the volume and couldn’t provide any indication of uptime. They blame the problem with ONE of their providers, but their web site states that they should be able to handle such a problem (apparently not). I am very close to moving to another host (only the time, effort, more downtime and doubts that I can get a refund are stopping me) but will do so if I experience ANY more downtime.

My site went down due to a problem with a site module (no fault of inmotion's) and I didn't have a recent backup. Inmotion do a daily auto backup and restored it for me straight away following an online chat with their customer service. That's the second issue they have sorted for me rapidly, politely and professionally.

I'm moving all my sites off PowWeb, which has become unusable. I'm completely satisfied so far. My sites are not high traffic, sort of hobbyist sites for a semi-retired IT professional. InMotion has a beautiful control panel that actually seems to work, unlike PowWeb's. I tried to downgrade my web hosting to parking only, and they said it had succeeded, and on the same screen they told me that it was set to auto-renew. I then started receiving emails that my bill was coming due, even though I had cancelled my hosting account. PowWeb is either professionally incompetent, or totally dishonest. I have neither the time nor inclination to try to figure out which.

We experienced a problem a few weeks ago. We felt very good about the immediate contact with your tech people, and their desire to help. It just so happened that the problem was not identified by us until very late at night. The night techs were as helpful as possible but we did not feel they were not as exerienced as the day people. As soon as the day people were in, our problem was fixed in a jiffy and we appreciate and value your expertise. Incidentally, in the next few months it is almost a certainty that we will need a bigger system and I plan to seriously be talking to your customer service or tech people on what our best options are. We definitely plan to stay with Inmotion as we grow, and we plan to have several websites within the next 18 months.

Usually you don't see cheap and good quality in the same sentence for a host , but these guys do it. And they do it consistently. Also the sites seem to have a ton of bandwidth, and space for much cheaper then any other hosts.

I personally did telephone tech support, in the computer industry, many years ago. I know how frustrating it can be to troubleshoot via telephone. I never heard any of that frustration in anyone's interactions with me during these problems, and that is very commendable! This is my first real website experience beyond the cookie cutter sites. I tried to do research and kept coming up with InMotion as superior in support. The price was reasonable so I took a chance and have been very pleased. I am a beginner but trainable and the staff have helped me on 3 occasions when I got stuck. Email forwarding to a Yahoo account, PHPini file location question and setting up the calendar. In all cases overnight I had my answers and they were detailed enough to quickly solve the issues. I'm very happy with InMotion!

I have several sites hosted with InMotion. On a monthlong bike trip in a remote area where Internet access was available for a short time every few days, two of my sites were hacked. I got a support ticket into InMotion and they went in and corrected the problems almost immediately and then advised me how to secure the site better. You cannot get better than that.

I was pleasantly surprised at the level of help provided by InMotion’s tech support and sales staff. I was transferring a website from another host to InMotion and was having a lot of problems with timing, FTP, email and everything else I could mess up. Over the last several days they have helped with all my problems of which none were created by InMotion. Between the email and live chat I was kept informed of what was happening and what needed to be done on my part. I am still an amateur, with just enough knowledge to be dangerous, when it comes to the internet, so it is comforting to know that InMotion’s staff is there when I get in over my head.

Recently switched to inmotion after realizing I was paying too much and getting not enough. Very pleased with the service and value for the money. Also had a recent test of support at inmotion when I accidentally deleted the tables of my WordPress website. Within a short time my database was restored! Super response and a grateful customer.

I signed up for a reseller VPS account based on reviews here. OMG what a mess! Here are some bullet points: - 24/7 Chat window closes after a few minutes saying it's gone offline. You have to re-enter and lose your place. This happens multiple times - Setting up an account is not fun. You need to use both the CPanel AND the WHM! - Your account is setup as the main domain and every other domain/account is a subdomain - Tutorials are unclear and require help from support to clarify - Want to transfer an account while before you change the nameservers? Don't! You have to setup the domain as an add-on domain in Cpanel and not as an account. I have no idea what an "account" means - I submitted a support ticket for a custom nameserver via email and their helpdesk. I never got a response from either. I checked the helpdesk. I have no tickets. Don't bother. Ed.

I know there are cheaper hosts, but I've been using InMotion Hosting for four years, and you just can't beat the service. I've never experienced (to my knowledge) down time on a site. But the best part of the service is tech support. I used to get to a technician without a wait, or maybe under a minute. Now I sometimes have to wait a few minutes. But the technicians are knowledgeable and patient and stay with you until the problem is solved, even if it turns out to be something that has nothing to do with the hosting service. The staff is friendly, upbeat, and unhurried. I feel like I've got friends out there I can call on for help, and that's invaluable.

I've been with Inmotion hosting for almost 6 months now and have been generally happy with the service. However, they recently changed server on my account without notifying me in advance of the change. This caused quite a few lost emails, headaches, and time wasted trying to figure out what went wrong. As such, if you are considering Inmotion for business hosting you might think twice. Although they are a good, cheap option, the data I've lost as a result of an unannounced change is very discouraging and could've been a huge issue if I had multiple users using email through my Inmotion hosting account.

A partner in our consulting group had a little hobby site hosted with InMotion and when we finally decided to consolidate 8 years of randomly hosted individual, main business and scratch sites to 1 host and 1 bill, we chose InMotion based on his experience, reviews and cost. One of the domains I moved is a Google Apps Premier domain, and 2 had to be pried loose from Yahoo, so it was not an easy move, and I had to call tech support several times. The tech support team was absolutely wonderful. Like lots of small businesses, we take care of clients during the day and our own stuff at night. Even when I called late at night, I got someone in the US, whom I could understand and who could understand me. Every help call produced instant results. There was a small glitch consolidating accounts for billing, which was half my fault and half theirs, and their business office straightened it out right away and got me a partial refund the same day I talked to them. Wonderful staff all around!

InMotion Hosting is absolutely wonderful. I previously had GoDaddy and they were giving me the run around when it came to direct questions about being able to host multiple websites on one hosting account, separately. GoDaddy is notorious for overloading their sql database servers, causing slow database loading and internal 500 errors often. After I got into contact with InMotion Hosting, all the questions I had were answered by their very well trained sales staff. No pressure to purchase anything, and they even asked questions that I didn't even think to ask. The user interface is awesome, the benefits are out of this world. My website is always loading fast, no internal 500 errors like with GoDaddy and best of all: Everything worked right the first time, I setup my websites and they are all hosted separately. Thanks InMotion Hosting!

Stay Away Unless You are a Techie or Can Afford to Hire One, Mar 05, 2010

Unhappy with my current host due to chronic email problems, I wanted to fly to greener pastures. InMotion was rated tops and they focus on business sites, so I went for it. I asked all the prerequisite questions, except one: What would "I" have to do to get set? The answer: EVERYTHING. They send you an email with lots of information, and expect you to do every single aspect of your setup and transfer from FTP transfer & Upload to testing to setting up the email accounts, to pointing your domain name. So, if you are not a computer geek or can't afford to hire one, you are not going to be happy. I'm a retired software engineer, and even I could not make hardly any of their instructions work. Getting tech support on the phone to help with the instructions ... they were nice ... but nice doesn't cut it when something goes wrong and they refuse to look into it! Kid you not. Icing on cake? "I" had to fill out a cancellation request form and wait. They can't even cancel a transaction?

I read a lot or review site said it's the best bussiness web hosting site and I sign up for their services. Here is the true story. I am total new to unix base OS server and had a lot of problem need their tech support to support me. I try to call their tech support but i hear 30min music and I give up. I try their online live chat support and 95% of the time are closed. I got lucky finally go through once, but that tech support can't solve my problem and wants to cut off me quick. So I google my problem and spend another day to solve my peoblem by myself. Finally, I find out it's their server problem, so I wrote email and teach those techsupport how to solve my problem. If the review site has negative point I will give negative points for support. I guess you have to be PRO in unix base OS or you will have hard time to setup your website. NEWBIE BEWARE

I just had another perfect experience with the InMotion Hosting Support Team! I have intermediate knowledge of Web design and use Dreamweaver CS4. Literally every single time I contact the Support Team, and it's often due to my lack of working experience, I receive A-One, 5-Star service - both via phone and live chat. This is my second year with InMotion and I wouldn't consider moving to another company. The E-Commerce package I use is well within normal price ranges, the C-Panel is extremely user friendly with plenty of quality add-on software programs available - and most importantly - the service is UNMATCHED by the competition! There's cheaper providers out there, but that's what you end up getting... a cheaper product! I have never hesitated recommending InMotion to my friends and family - lots of them are current users. So if you want first class service, no lies about what's included, and the biggest bang for your buck - go with InMotion Hosting!

I decided to use Inmotion hosting based on positive recommendations I found on the web. I am so happy that I chose Inmotion. I had my web-site up and running within two hours of deciding to sign up. The cPanel app (for configuration of mail and managing the site) was so intuitive to use that I did not even need to read the directions. The statistics pkg (accessed from cPanel) are really nice. I especially like all of the graphs. I highly recommend Inmotion especially given the cost.

I LOVE this webhost! My computer got a virus which started uploading suspicious and hazardous files into my site and inmotion detected it and blocked my ip for me until I could fix it. They explained everything very thoroughly, told me what kind of files to look for... they were awesome. I've never had any trouble with their webhost. I was very new to servicing and publishing websites (I'd only ever built them for people before) and they were very nice about walking me through things. I've used their phone support and their live chat and I don't think I've ever been on hold for more than 5-10 minutes tops which is incredible in my opinion. All in all, I love this webhost and would totally recommend them.

I'm just a new guy. They just turned on my domain today...but I already have a good experience. I needed the web builder that comes with the business package. InMotion requires that you contact tech support to get this optional program activated. Well, to make a long story short, I sent in my email request at 10:19. Just 15 minutes later, at 10:34, I had an email back saying the program had been installed. I figured this would take and hour or two, or even longer. 15 minutes was fantastic. InMotion isn't the least expensive but I figured you get what you pay for and I'd rather pay a little more for quality than go with a $1.99 cheapo service. I didn't need GoDaddy's one good, four bad review ratio. With this kind of service it all looks good. BTW, thanks to the Web Hosting Geeks. Your site and reviews had a big part to do with my decision to go with InMotion. Web Hosting Geeks is far and away the best host review site on the web.

I really have to say I really love InMostion Hosting. They are are near perfect. If I call in to their support, you inform me there's something wrong with my server even before I talk to a customer support rep. Everything they do I am very pleased of. I switched over to them not too long ago, and they have not let me down once. They did have one outage, but I can understand those because I am a server guy myself. InMotion Hosting had the outage repaired within the hour. Which is high quality support if you ask me. All I have to say is for them to keep it up and I'm proud to have them host my website.

Inmotionhosting is my first hosting but I must say that I am impressed. I am hosting via the business class power and they really give you everything they promise. Registration is simple and somebody will call you within 30 minutes. If sales support is closed you can call to confirm yourself and in 2 minutes it is fixed. I am new with webhosting and had some questions. I always received a reply within 24 hours. One of the questions was if I could make my add-on domain my main domain and visa versa. The answered me that it is possible free of charge but also warned me for the consequences (meaning I had to set up everything again). When I confirmed the order it was done within 24 hours again. Not everything is perfect. I find the information database how to do things a bit difficult to for finding the answer. The information is there but you have to know where to look. But a simple email to support will get you the answer if you can't find it. I recommend inmotion to everybody.

I have dealt with a few web hosting companies, not a lot. You guys do a great honest job! One thing: I speak pretty good English, have spent nearly 50% of my life in English speaking countries, yet, for someone English mother tongue I will always have an accent, even in Australia I have been asked if I was American! In Austria (my home country) if I was German because I have lived away a lot and kind of designed my own accent. Why do I mention this? Please go gently on all those many clients of yours many of whom will be American citizens but have MORE accent than myself. Go genle because due to slight difference of wording what they say may instantly sound different than what you understand. Give them the same respect, try harder, it`s harder for them! And, there are Nobel Price winners who don`t even (in this department I had trouble sometimes if you get the gist, now I know almost everyone from your support team, and have kind of built up excellent contact and mutual respect

VPS Down, Tech Support can't help, Feb 16, 2010

Wow. I've never experienced what's happening right now with InMotion Hosting. We were with a GoDaddy Virtual Dedicated for 6 years and our site didn't go down once unless we brought it down. Our website is now hosted on a VPS with InMotion, and it has been down for three hours without any changes on our part. When I called Tech Support the first time today, he said, "They are working on updating some nodes and you will be up in no more than an hour." Two hours later I called and another guy said he had no idea what the problem was and that he couldn't help!!!! He said the updates should have been done by now so he elevated it to "System Admins." I am only writing this review because we left GODaddy because of InMotion's Superior Tech Support. If 'routine maintenance' brings down a server for at least three hours during the work day (still down now), and tech support says they can't help, how can this be the best?!!! I've NEVER seen such terrible support. Ever. Wow.

I could't believe it myself. A very alert, awake, friendly, helpful voice was there on the other end of the phone to patiently, joyfully, kindly help me with my issue. And he quicky resolved it. I went with them because of value, but it's almost too good to be true, the superb support and vast resources In Motion Hosting offers their customers. While they offer a good price, reliability isn't always there - I found unwanted ads on my site out of nowhere. Then the 2nd page of my site went mysteriously missing and I had to work several days to get it back up on the site - they had no explanation as to why this happened. The e-mail suddenly stopped working. You talk to one tech support and they seem great, but another guy will sound like a flake? Their billing people are morons compared to the tech reps and the two never seem to talk to ech other. If you want cheap and plan to watch it daily - great. If you need reliability - it may be worth the price to pay more and find a company that is more user cautious - but either way they are waaaay better than GoDaddy in every way!

I've been very impressed with InMotion's service. I have tried two other hosting services, and they could not compare to InMotion. For one thing, InMotion's support is extremely well organized. I like the work-ticket system to include how quickly and effectively they responded to any work-tickets I submit. I've taken a look at their customer forum, and it also looks to be extremely helpful. I've found InMotion to be exceedingly user friendly, and I am not website savvy. (Linux? Sounds like a character from a Charlie Brown comic strip.) Seriously, I have been very pleased with the quality of Inmotion's service, and I highly recommend the company to everyone.

Started with an inquiry to sales live chat...was 4th in the que...then got a message that Sales was not available...and was forced to send an email instead. Tried again, why I dont know...and got through...but was asked to wait for my answer...was 3 minutes into the chat session before I was informed that Monthly billing was not available on the plan I wanted to purchase. Just my opinion...but there are a lot of other companies that want my business...you had better impress me from the beginning. If you're Sales staff is too busy to be helpful, how in the world would I be convinced that Tech Support would even be reachable?

Inmotion Hosting scams my money, Feb 05, 2010

I paid them $500 for 1 year and half a year later, they said that my site used too much of their resources, they send me a "final notice" trying to force me to upgrade to their dedicated server which is at least around $250/month. Otherwise, they will suspend my account and keep the money! Technically - we have 2 different retail sites hosting on 2 different hosting company: server load number of items on site status inmotion hosting 2 (16 cpu) 50,000 "final notice" the other hosting company 4 (2 cpu) 25,000 OK after moving away from inmotion 0.5 (4 cpu) 100,000 OK Who get free lunch by taking your money without providing any service? They sent me "final notice" because of their incompetence!

I didn't even know inmotion hosting was capable of spotting and stopping an attack on your site, but they did! I couldn't connect to my server, so I contacted their customer support and they told me they were temporarilly not allowing connections to my site because someone tried to upload something suspicious to it from a suspicious ip address. They sent me an email (which I hadn't read until after I talked with them) with a full explanation and instructions on how to change my password and my site was back up and running. Customer service was VERY helpful, courteous, and downright awesome. These guys seem to actually care about the safety of your site, not just take your credit card number and run. I give Inmotion Hosting an A+!

I love these folks! I know a little about website design and development - enough to be dangerous, but not enough to get anything done without help... I've called tech support a number of times; everyone I've spoken with has been extremely helpful and clearly knows his/her stuff (OK, it's only been men so far, but I like to leave that possibility open). It feels like I'm talking to people who have decent experience, not level 1 folks who are reading off lots canned stuff in the hopes of finding something vaguely related to my question. And they must've gotten a killer customer service class. More than once, I've gotten answers to questions I didn't even know to ask, and they respond immediately to administrative requests. Finally, with Inmotion's tools, documentation and tutorials, I've already been able to add functionality to my site. I can see there's a lot left to learn. Now, if they only had an anti-procrastination tool, I'd be all set.

After a year of trials and tribulations with two other hosts dealing with unbelievable down-time (Host-99) and non-existent service (Siteground), I finally feel I can relax and just work on the website, and let the website work for me. Great service, the support staff is knowledgeable and easy to reach through phone or chat. Their price, professionalism and accessibility make them a keeper if looking for a Linux server. I have been at it for 12 years now and thought that all hosting providers were a joke. After giving up on "99.9% uptime" and "24/7 tech support," I am happy to say that InMotionHosting has finally delivered on what all the other hosts wish they could offer. Their tech support is amazing. For the first time ever, I feel like they are capable of doing their jobs and prove to actually know what they are doing, unlike the "others." Only down side, which is no big deal, is you're stuck to the packages they offer, at least that's my experience on the VPS side. The ability to add RAM without jumping up to the next level would make them perfect. Other than that, I'm completely satisfied. They continue to impress me.

As a novice web developer, I fully researched hosting websites before deciding to host mine with inmotionhosting.com. I had found a lot of positive feedback on them, and now as a customer, I can clearly see why. Inmotion Hosting provide an excellent service and at an excellent price. As this was the first website that I have ever uploaded, I was unsure of the process of actually uploading my website to the World Wide Web. Embarrassingly I conceited and contacted Inmotion Hosting’s customer service. I think his name was Alan, but I could be corrected on that, but I found Inmotion Hosting’s customer service exceedingly helpful, courteous and very friendly. The CPanel that one uses to manage their website is very easy to use, providing plenty of statistical information about the website, such as number of visits on a daily basis and peak times of usage. I have never had any problems with bandwidth, space, downtime or anything like that with Inmotion Hosting. Maybe I’m just lucky, but Inmotion Hosting seem to have everything covered and have provided me with friendly, knowledgeable support whenever I needed it. Recently, my website was subjected to a hack attempt. Someone tried to spike my form with malicious code. I was completely unaware of this but luckily, and thankfully, Inmotion’s monitoring of my website had caught them in the act, and prevented this attempt from being successful. Inmotion Hosting then proceeded to notify me and provided plenty of useful information and advice on how to further secure my website. For this I am truly grateful, and in addition to highlighting Inmotion’s excellent service and support, I wish to highlight that they provide excellent security and peace of mind. I feel a strong level of comfort knowing that my website is secured and monitored 24/7. I’ll wrap this up by saying that I rarely write reviews and after reading this, I’m sure you can clearly see why. If anything I strongly encourage you to host your website with Inmotion Hosting and I’d like to thank you for taking the time to read this review.

The support is great at Inmotion hosting. I've tried two other hosts whose support was terrible. If you are new to web site stuff you want someone who can answer your questions. The other two hosts I used seemed too smart for me. Their answers would always start with the word "simply" then would be followed by a bunch of jargon I didn't understand. It made them seem smug. The people at Inmotion are able to explain things where even I can understand. And their answers are always written in very good English. The other hosts I used (GoDaddy and AMHosting) are probably okay if you already know what you are doing. But if you are a beginner you will like working with Inmotion.

Thank you for your service this past year. It has been an enjoyable experience and it is reassuring to know that you team is at the ready to handle problems that arise. I like to think I'm pretty savy but always learn something new when calling your support staff. What I appreciate is their recognition that a customer can be (and often is) heavily involved running their own operation. It takes maturity and good training for them to keep that in the forefront of their minds as they handle calls. I also appreciate their understanding when I feel I need to know more about how a small problem can develop. This can help me stay alert and avoid running into bigger problems down the road.

I was very happy with the support I received. Moving the whole site to a new service provider is a very traumatic event. One has to transfer all web applications and other files while learning about the new site and its particularities. This has to be done as fast as possible. Finding a competent and trustworthy webhost is like finding a good auto mechanic / plumber / dentist. The horror stories are rampant, and when you find one, you keep them, and tell your friends. I've had need of dependable webhosting personally and professionally, and I've had my share of headaches in every area - the backend setup, blackouts, hard-to-reach tech support, unfriendly interfaces. So its my pleasure to say that all aspects of my experiences with InMotion have been positive, trouble-free ... and even pleasant. I recently had to startup a new site and put some permissions and what-not in place. I did it all within minutes using on-line InMotion chat support from both their sales and support departments. Wow - real-time COMPETENT and PATIENT tech support. And I've never experienced a site failure or downtime. FIVE STARS!

Based on the positive reviews, I tried to order a business-class account with Inmotion. I went to the order page, credit card in hand, and the page was loading ... loading ... loading ... loading ... loading.... After 5 minutes I began wondering what customers would do at my site if it just kept loading for 5 minutes with no response. After 10 minutes it felt like a hard dose of reality of what the response time would actually be like. I mean, if they can't even serve their own ordering page in a reasonable amount of time, what would it be like for my hosted pages? After 15 minutes it finally advanced to the order page. OK that was unpleasant, but might as well go through with it. I clicked to order the "launch" package for 24 months, at a prominently advertised special discounted rate for prepaying the 24 months. I advanced to the next page -- and no discount was showing, instead it was the regular price for the full 24 months. After clicking back and forth a few times I fired up the customer support chat. Nice fellow. Unfortunately he seemed incapable of understanding me. "The splash page said $XX/month for 24 months, why is it saying a different price when I try to order it?" He kept saying it was because it's discounted if you pre-pay for longer. Yes, I saw that, that's why I was ordering 24 months prepaid. Finally he just said all accounts had to be verified by a phone call anyway so might as well just do it over the phone. I declined, as I thought it was an awfully unimpressive experience. I think I'll keep looking around.

I rarely need to call tech support, but when I do I get a live person almost immediately, not some demeaning voice response unit with 10 options to choose from that all route to the same place anyway. You can't beat having quick response to a phone call for help. And the tech people really know their stuff - you get the equivalent of a tier 2 person right away.

Have been hosting my weather station on InMotion for two years, now. Up time is great. My IP was blocked, a couple of times, for some glitch in the stream to InMotion, but have had no problems with their server. Customer Service and Technical Support are outstanding. They have had me back in service within minutes of my call. Would recomend InMotion to anyone who wants a great deal for hosting.

I switched to Inmotion Hosting because I was thoroughly frustrated with my previous host. I hosted my own website with my former host and because I design websites I would recommend others use them. I used to get good service from my former hosts but for my last 6 months, the uptime was horrible, they always blamed somebody else and never got the problem corrected. My experience with Inmotion, has been a good one. Their uptime has been better than promised. I love being able to communicate with tech support three different ways and they are super friendly and courteous. They have always understood my problem and if I want them to, they will take the time to explain how they fixed it so I can do it myself for other clients or just go ahead and fix it for me. I've never had to wait very long for help and it's a plus for my communication that their techs are all located in the US. The control Panel might be the same as others but their customer support is what sets them apart.

Their website was clean and concise providing all the information (including price) needed to make a decision. There were no tricks and when I initally called they took their time to explain any questions I had; without being a customer. I knew from that time that I had found my hosting service. We have now been with InMotion Hosting around 3-years and have nothing but praise for their service in that time. We hope to be with InMotion Hosting for many more years to come.

I left JustHost after only being with them for 6 weeks. it was bad as soon as i signed up and went downhill from there. Their tech support was very poor I did not pay enough attention to the tech portion before I signed up. if I had, I would have seen that all the support was through emails. It took hours to circulate just one email. I lost alot of money with the other host money-back-guarantee. Out of over $400.00 to get my sites set up, I got less than $100.00 back. Check to see what is refundable when you sign up. Inmotion has been great. I called their tech support twice before signing up to make sure I could reach a person instead of a machine, (I suggest you do the same for whoever you are thinking about using). I reached a real person both times with little wait time, very little. Theye have been great with the support i need...and i need alot sometimes, and have been very nice. I highly recommend Inmotion, I am very happy with everything, especially their support.

I was using a company before these guys due to I did not know how to code HTML or CSS. The reviews on here were awesome, so I figured I would try them. All I can say is wow so far. These guys have been great and friendly and informative and helpful. I dont have enough space to write all the mistakes I made in this process of transferring and making my website show properly on the internet. These guys took the time to walk me through and verify things and make sure things were good. Would definitley recommend these guys. Especially if new to hosting and web design.

Do NOT use them if you even THINK you're going to discontinue your service within the 30 days. Or at all, really. First, they charged me for one year; the money CLEARED, it wasn't pending, it CLEARED the next day. Two days later, the money was back in my account, so I assumed that it was one of those things where they take the money and then it drops off and that it would then charge monthly from there. One week ago today, I called to cancel my service and the woman said my money would be back within 24 hours. 72 hours later, I called back again and was informed that I had to fill out a cancellation form which the first woman said NOTHING about. I filled out the form and the man said my money would be back TODAY; it isn't. I called today and the woman said my money will be back after 6:00PM tonight, but that I have to go talk to my bank to actually get the money back. Bottom line, don't use them; especially if you're unsure of your decision.

In the 6 years or so that I've been working with InMotionHosting, I have found their hosting service to be highly reliable as far as uptime and speed, capacity, and services. The fact is I have hardly had to consult with them, because their service is so reliable. And they offer a background battery of services that have been quite valuable - like statistics about hits & an email forwarding service that's very easy to use. I have built 2 websites that are hosted by them, and have recommended them to a third website that I watch over - and I couldn't ask for a better hosting service.

Over the last few months, there have been several occasions where I had to ask InMotion's technical team for assistance. I know just enough about html, PHP and Sql to be dangerous. Each time, InMotion has really come through for me. When I come across something that leaves me stumped, or I break something in the course of my tinkering, the InMotion support team solves my problem and addressed my concerns expeditiously and thoroughly. The quick responses to my emails and the technical knowledge of their employees continue to impress me. I sincerely appreciate their technical savvy and customer service. InMotion has only been our host for 6 months, but I can assure you, InMotion has earned a long-term customer.

After leaving another hosting company where customer service is sorely lacking, I've been VERY pleased to interact with the pleasant, knowledgeable and professional support personnel at InMotionHosting! After my last host experience, I frankly came to IMH with a skeptical "we'll see" attitude. I was concerned that maybe all hosting companies were like my last bad experience. Fortunately that's just not so! IMHosting's personnel were kind enough to migrate my sites over from my previous host. There were problems with the migration of the 3rd party shopping cart software. I hired a contractor to resolve the cart issues. At one point my contractor contacted IMHosting's chat support for help with some of the issues. Together they resolved the issues. The contractor said she too was impressed with IMH support! So far, I'd rate IMH with a grade of A+! I will definitely recommend them! It's a pleasure to tell them "thank you"! I hope they continue the GREAT work!

From the packages offered to the all important customer service, with InMotion Hosting scoring 100% in that, I have a hustle free thing going on here. Frequent emails from InMotion Hosting offer advice and information on how I may improve on my site, from design to Search Engine Optimization, all this info, part of the great package! Haven't heard of In Motion Hosting ? Heard of, but don't know alot about them? Or are you a current customer? I've been with IMH since 2004 and I have no intentions of leaving. Why? I started out with minimal knowledge about web design and putting a site together. I stumbled along, but when I got stuck-IMH was there for me. Even though that wasn't their job, they politely and professionally assisted me through the problems I kept putting on myself due to lack of knowledge. Now that I've been a customer for more than 5 years, I've learned more about website design. During that time, IMH has improved many things about their services-like the knowledge base and tutorials. And their customer service can't be beat. I could easily write 10,000 words-they are that good. They excel at reliability, services offered, customer service, great prices and very quick responses.You gotta check them out! Once you do, you'll more than likely join the team.

I am the owner and webmaster for a few different website and have had several hosts. I've been with Inmotion for about a year and have been blown away with how great their support is. Everytime I've sent in a support ticket, I've received a reply within a few hours. They have people that actually know what they're talking about. Most importantly, their support staff is willing to go out of their way to help. Their servers are always fast and very reliable, even on a shared host. I am very happy with Inmotion, and would highly recommend them to anyone.

Ever since I signed up with inmotionhosting, my site went down twice, one was network issue and one was server issue. I have many other hosting companies that I use over 7 years and they never went down. I just have so many sites and I'd like to spread hosting companies for all different sites and that's reason I picked inmotionhosting, but so far the support is not good either. The Chat support is busy most of the time and it tells me to "email" after waiting for quite some time. Two time site down is a big deal. I do not recommend to anyone.

During the past two months, I signed up for two new web sites on InMotion Hosting. Sign-up options were clear and the process was very easy to use. There are many software packages/services available for heavy-duty business/merchant web sites. They were careful to verify that it was really me that was signing up for each new web site. I had a couple of questions that I submitted and got an e-mail response within the hour. The price was right for what I needed, a couple of simple web sites. In each case, my web site was available for use within an hour. That's service!

I had previously tried many other hosting sites, but they never lived up to the advertising, either in regard to space, bandwidth or uptime. My site users require the site to be available as they rely on its music files for their own activities each week (church music). It is important to be available at all times, but I found the other sites had all sorts of reasons for poor uptime. InMotion hosting has proven to be excellent, with uptime exceptionally high, there were no problems with bandwidth. When disc usage increased, InMotion techs took positive corrective action so that my service continued at the same high quality. I cannot speak too highly of my experience of Inmotion, and I am pleased to be able to indicate on the site front page that it is hosted by Inmotion.com. Clyde

They were less expensive than the locally recommended host, and much more helpful when I called for further details. So far I have had seamless service; fast, simple, no-glich, no-downtime. Early this year, I got fed up with my brother's service (which will remain nameless) and their so-called customer support. The hosting service was inexpensive, but it showed with the inferior technical knowledge of the outsourced service associates and the response times for our site. So after about a dozen "we're sorry for the inconvenience" emails, I decided to get a different hosting account and move our site. Right from the start, the people I talked to at InMotion Hosting were knowledgeable (even the sales staff) and they answered all of my questions promptly. They have 2 server farms, one on the east coast and one on the west coast, and their servers are very well balanced for performance. Since moving the site to the new service, the FTP transfers for site updates have been incredibly and the site response is great. It costs a bit more for a small business account, but it's definitely worth it to avoid the aggravation of the cheaper solutions.

Called sales to aske about a specific type of template they offered. Sales could not give me an answer and asked that I sign up and find the template myself, if it didn't exist, I could cancel and get my money back. Is it just me or does that sound stupid? Wouldn't a company now what they offer and have available? I didn't sign up and am looking for a new host comapny now.

My site is small potatos and 3 hrs east of Inmo, so when I first chose them 6+ years ago, I had no idea how it would work out with a host on "wrong" coast. Their product obviously comes first and it was not long before that was apparent and that someone there believed the same. I have never had cause to regret my choice as they have been growing and keeping the service top notch and consistent. > The year in year out consisitency of polite, professional, competent customer service is THE key attibute of an involved, committed management. I'm currently working on my third website hosted through InMotion and couldn't be happier with them. The amount of features and storage space is unbeatable for the price, I've yet to have an outage on any of my sites, and their customer service is awesome (all their call centers are located in the US!). Now when I have to deal with other hosts, I get frustrated because they lack many of the features that InMotion has. I especially like InMotion's flexible PHP configuration, the CPanel interface, and their unlimited space/bandwidth package. I also like the fact that InMotion keeps their software up to date. I'm not normally this enthusiastic about a company, but InMotion really seems to be one of the best hosts out there. I have yet to find fault with what they have to offer. Highly recommend!

Be prepared to waste alot of time and energy. The servers and email are both a joke. The domain management is a joke, and it's likely you will see long email outages due to the fact that there hosting plans are housed on weakly secured shared servers. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

So far, so good! I can't say that I have any terrible complaints. Mainly, the cPanel search sucks and I found some of the initial set-up a little vague. InMotion customer service and especially their techs are outstanding. I never got someone is a cranky mood or with a condescending attitude when I asked a stupid question. I researched hosting companies extensively before choosing and I would recommend InMotion Hosting to anyone. I'm currently building my commerce site and will launch shortly...then we'll see what they're really made of!

I have consistently been let down by many webhosts. Oftentimes I'd find that after a year (or two at maximum) of good service, many hosting services will simply get lazy, or otherwise become...well, not very good web hosts. InMotion on the other hand doesn't seem to have this problem at all. Their support team is nothing short of awesome - I had a script that was stressing the server, and the whole thing was fixed within 30 minutes, with me and their support team exchanging at least six emails in that short period of time. We pinpointed what was wrong, I disabled it and my site was back up and running in no time. I'm proud to say that IMH hasn't let me down, and it doesn't seem like it will in the near future.

Inmotion Hosting - Better Than Hoped For, Oct 20, 2009

My company, Nashville Newzine, recently migrated from a shared server at another hosting company to a virtual dedicated server at Inmotion Hosting. The other company would not provide tech support for virtual servers without cost, and a limited time support at that. For the same monthly fee, Inmotion not only provided expert tech support (free) as needed, but were always (and I mean always) kind and helpful. It was not the case of talking to just one helpful tech, my records show that there were at least four techs that worked on my problem over a three day period, all available 24/7. So, what is the point? This... a hard drive is a hard drive... but these days an expert tech team that is always kind and helpful is HARD TO FIND. I have used several web hosts-including some that charge up to 2k/month with their premium services, and inmotion remains my favorite. I call regularly and they're always knowledgeable, friendly, and patient. For example, when I was a new webmaster, I screwed up a file royally. Their tech fixed it for me while I was on the phone- not his duty, but he did it anyway. They are available by phone or chat at any given time. I've done stupid things at midnight on a Saturday and still been able to talk to somebody. Their interface is simple, the cpanel has plenty of options, and I've always had good server speed and no downtime. The only frustration I could imagine is that most accounts only come with 5-7 domains- so if you're a PPC affiliate building 1000 landing pages with different domains, look elsewhere. But if you're looking to build quality websites at a server with good customer support, then inmotion cannot be surpassed.

We've been with inMotion for a year now. So far the service has been very good. Tech support is very good and responses were fast via email. The phone tech was weak but polite when I had a issue using outlook to access email. The tech gave me the link to Microsoft when he couldn't solve the access issue. I ended up solving the problem myself by using inMotion secure access rather than POP. cPanel is very easy to use. Video instructions are very helpful. We have several sites that are parked there and worked fine. The only draw back is the limited host sites based on our plan. inMotion doesn't have unlimited hosting and we are fine with that for now. It really depends on what you want. I placed more on service and support more than more free stuff. I noticed other hosts have only one shopping cart where inMotion has three choices. Overall, I really recommend inMotion if you don't need zillion website hostings.

I have been hosted with InMotion Hosting for many years now. My site is 99% for email usage. I really like the fact that they have customer service based in the USA. That is important to me. I also like the spam filters and web based email software. They work well and they are good for me and my business partners. The forwarders and auto responders also work flawlessly. I would highly recommend them to any business that doesn't want to have to stress over the hosting part of their business. There are enough worries as is.

I was having major problems with my website going down, and all support would tell me is that I'm using too much "resources". I have 4 VPS accounts with Inmotion and I was going to cancel the one with the problems, but I was infuriated by one of the systems engineers, Dean, who turned off my server for "high CPU load" and then refused to take my phone call when I contacted support. I then decided to cancel all 4 of my accounts. Before I could send in an email, I got a call from Vanessa. She explained that she runs a Wordpress site herself, and was able to pinpoint the exact plugin that was causing the problem. She was very friendly on the phone which calmed me down. I appreciate that she made an attempt to relate to me as a customer, and she also said that Dean didn't take my call because he wasn't there. Ever since I disabled that plugin in my site, I haven't had a problem and I later upgraded my account to an Elite server. Inmotion is the best and I'm there as long as Vanessa is.

We switched from a shared account with a local hosting service to a VPS with InMotion about a year ago and we really couldn't be happier. Uptime has been great, sites are always responsive, and within the limits of the linux environment there's really nothing that I can't get done. When I have had an issue to be resolved they have always been very quick to respond, very courteous, and seemed very knowledgeable. If I had to complain about something it would be that sometimes various security measures make things a little harder than they might have been otherwise but I'm will to deal with it knowing that my server is that little bit safer.

I have had more than one site with them over the last 5 years and InMotion Hosting is simply the best webhosting company. Period. I have been with lesser providers and heard horror stories about others. Why is InMotion the best? Maybe because it is employee-owned, but for whatever reason, all my contacts with the company are excellent, whether it concerns sales, billing or tech support. I have never known the slightest reliability or uptime problem and would not even expect it. Tech support goes beyond simply answering direct questions related to their service. They are a friend in need on almost anything to do with websites and the internet, email, apps, databases, blogging and sometimes more. To give you a clue - I had the Director of Operations deal with my call to relieve his other agents who were inundated; he's been there many years and even remembered me personally and the name of the website I had with them, but sold two and half years ago.

I was trying to add Joomla to my site. it took me over 2 weeks of constant emails to get these guys to set it up for me. they moved me to a new server that had more features but had an encoding problem, then back and forth between servers and until today the server is lagging and i can't get to cpanel every other day. on the other hand when you email them they answer immediately and they do try to solve the problem. i felt that for Joomla users this was not the right place.

Probably the most important aspects of any hosting company are up time, and customer support. If you add in ease of use, and reasonable prices Inmotion may just win the prize. The only flaw I have seen so far is occasional waits beyond 3 minutes when you call in by phone. Having sat on hold with hosting companies in excess of 30 minutes even this one shortcoming of Inmotion is minor. To have experienced a pleasant demeanor from the staff every single time I have called them is a bonus. I have 2 VPS and 1 dedicated rack with InMotion and the speed in and out are excellent. I cannot think of anything I could add other than to ask for Inmotion not to allow their quality to degrade.

We're having 2 of their lowest priced VPS environments (competitive pricing!) and are hosting SVN & TRAC on 1 of these. Inmotion has been very helpful getting it all up and running. Yesterday it collapsed due to an upgrade of PHP & Apache - they've given this issue priority and put their team on top of it to solve it - and they did fix it! When we woke up in Amsterdam we could directly continue our development work. To make a long story short: Inmotion technical support level exceeds anything I've seen in the market - This experienced has been a big confirmation we've made the right choice - I can only advice others to seriously consider Inmotion if support is an important factor!

Wow. Just... wow. It has been about a week since my last review (not positive... about the absurd mail restrictions), and I've raised the mail restriction topic up on their support forum. Funny thing happened today. When I found that my email and website were down, I called support and discovered that *somebody* had issued a cancellation notice on my account, and it sure wasn't me. Apparently these clowns don't take kindly to criticism. Fortunately, tech support was able to bring my account back online quickly, so kudos for that. But cancelling my account. Wow. Just... wow.

Thank you thank you thank you Inmotion Hosting. I had an issue with email on my blackberry (which my husband says is surgically sewn to my hand.) I could not send email and didn't know what the problem was. I used the live chat and spoke with a tech that helped me fix my problem but also sent me a test email. This sort of customer service is rare folks, mark my words. They are english speakers and well trained. I would absolutely recommend them to others!!

I have 5 vps that i am paying over $1000 a month for. and they have not even managed to set up fantastico on each of them in over a month. They are so hopeless that the DNS are not set up on all the vps either. In over a month!!!! They do not read support requests and they certianly do not do everything that needs to be done to get a situation finished. Support are Rude and cannot help you with anything above the basics. Do not use if you are going to be spending money on your vps hosting. I am beyond pissed.

Our previous provider merged with another company. The transition was awful, and their customer support went from average to unacceptable faster than you can say "SLA". On Saturday morning (Labor Day Weekend) I signed up with InMotion, largely due to reviews highlighting the quality of their customer support. I received a verification call about 30 minutes after registration, and a few minutes later I was up and running. By noon Saturday I had transferred everything to InMotion, then needed assistance with a configuration setting. Our email and DNS are both hosted externally (at least for the moment), and I needed to disable local sendmail delivery attempts. I logged a support ticket. Keeping in mind that this was a holiday weekend, I was pleasantly surprised when (a) someone responded a few minutes later, (b) they understood the problem perfectly, (c) they reportedly made the required configuration change, and (d) the change worked perfectly upon testing. These guys are good.

I'm more than happy to write today & share my experience of inmotion hosting with other interested potential customers.Two years ago my partner & I retired from our business in Seattle and emigrated to Thailand. At our company,for over 15 years,we always had an IT person take care of all of our computer related requirements. Moving halfway around the world,we suddenly found that we needed to draw on our own resources & take the technical beast by the proverbial horns. I purchased my domain from InMotion, sadly being forced to wait to purchase hosting from them until my current project is completed, due to budget concerns (I work as a freelance web/graphic designer). But from my experience with them so far, I am definitely impressed. While I cannot speak for their hosting quality (yet), their Customer Service is extremely responsive and courteous. I registered my domain on a Sunday afternoon, and received a call from them to confirm the purchase within 5 mins, along with offers of assistance should I need it. Considering their promised response time was 30 mins on a weekday, and next business day on the weekend, I feel this bodes quite well for future support needs. Once I set up hosting with them, I will post a more thorough review.

The best part about them is that just about everyone on the staff is really helpful and nice to talk to. Don't get me wrong, there are certain areas like portions of the control panel that could use an overhaul, but coming from Yahoo web hosting where I truly felt like they didn't care about anything, this place is much better. I've worked with a number of web hosts. A couple of months ago I added an account with InMotion and have been impressed so far; a very different experience than other hosts I've worked with. They're not perfect: recently I hit a (non-major) problem caused by a configuration mistake on their server and it took a few rounds of emails and technical details to persuade them that the problem was on their end. But they were very polite and responsive throughout the process, and they did resolve it in the end, in around 24 hours total time. The 3 other support questions I've submitted were resolved well and amazingly quickly; in two cases I had a response and resolution within the hour. I'm recommending them to my clients.

I had a difficult setup for a client - his primary website is served by a "cookie cutter" real estate website vendor. His email is handled by another source, and his registrar was in Australia. We wanted to set up blog.domain-name.com to go to his InMotionHosting site. -- InMotion immediately understood what had to be done, and volunteered to do it! They took over the registration, DNS, and set everything up without a hitch. -- The actual software on the InMotion site is more complete than what I was used to at LunarPages. The server is lightening fast. -- But the real clincher is the customer service. Every call was answered by somebody smart and knowledgeable. Every answer was correct (unlike the other providers, in this case). They implemented everything they promised within hours. -- In contrast, I had to send many emails to convince Lunarpages that there was a problem with the server my site is on. -- I just don't know how they can provide this much service at the price.

Why on Earth would a business hosting company impose a 50-recipient maximum limit on emails? And that's in the "To:" field, NOT the BCC or CC (only 4 allowed in the BCC, 20 in the CC!)!! How can a business send out to a mailing list or client list (and keep the recipients private in the BCC) except through some phpList app? How can an executive send out a company-wide email to its EMPLOYEES and SUB-CONTRACTORS if that number exceeds the limit? And if I receive an email from my family and friends with the big "family list" (which I just now did), how can I "reply all" and remain involved in the conversation? (Obviously, breaking-up the list does no good... what happens when a recipient wants to "reply all" and then only reaches a fraction of the original recipients?) Apparently, InMotion assumes that its clients will be spammers, and there is NO WAY to lift the restriction. Funny, my Father just sent an email to 70 family & friends from Yahoo mail! Can I reply all? Nope.

Well, good service. Tech support is what you expect, about 10 minute wait on phone, 20 on chat, couple hours on email. Lot of space, good plugins. But, we experienced a major setback...they had a couple hard drives fail and we lost EVERYTHING. They had a backup but it they only backed up our old site when we used their builder software. We moved to using wordpress a few weeks back, and they didn't back it up, so BAM, everything gone. Really disappointed, we had just put 2 weeks of manhours into our site and finally started selling on the site and advertising. Don't know if we can recover.

So far my experience building my website has been pretty good--it was easy and when I had questions they were answered promptly. The premium web builder software has some mysteries and so do the templates offered, but they aren't deal breakers. I chose inmotion because it was one hosting company that didn't have a lot of negative feedback, and I am glad I did. I have referred friends interested in websites here.

I would like to sum up this review right from the get-go: TOTALLY AWESOME! I will NOT recommend another hosing company because InMotion hosting have my vote moving forward. Fantastic staff, great attitude and they put us (the customers) first. The support from the team has been fantastic and even though there is a major time difference (I'm from Aust) this has not stopped the team from InMotion from providing the support and service they promised me when I first signed up. There isn't much more I could ask for from everyone at InMotion. Keep up the good work - highly recommended to EVERYONE!

hello I have the vps hosting 49 a month plan i it is fast, reliable, tech support is great i first started out with a few bugs but heck all new websites go though a few bugs but all software bugs on website and email glitches all fixed within 48 hours excellet. i'm extremmly happy with inmoting vps hosting support. tech support is excellent. if you are looking for great support and very professional frendly people then look no futher they will take excellent care of you.

Lots of down time and lost revenue, Aug 25, 2009

Given the amount of work to move a site from one host to another. The lost time in DNS propagation, etc. Pick your host carefully. I've been with inmotion for over two years, and have suffered at least 8 different occasions where my site was down for random reasons. The worst reason they gave (which happened the most) was I was using to much CPU and had to upgrade to a more expensive platform. Mind you, they didnt call me or email me. They just closed down my site!!! My site only gets 100 hits a day, so what CPU spike? So, I upgrade... But still get downtime!! Some bug in the system they say. Lost work! Be warned. The 20 or more times I've called tech support, I always have gotten a person within 2 minutes on hold. And they fix things. So, atleast that much.

We recently switched from Network Solutions to Inmotion. It seemed we were imposing on a tech person's time by asking a few questions after being with Network Solutions for years. We did a Google search for web hosting reviews and found Inmotion had great reviews for tech support so we switched one of our accounts to them. Inmotion tech and sales staff have been professional and helpful. They seem to have a corporate culture of doing their best to help their clients - a culture that seems to be lacking in many companies. We needed this support to get a new web site up and running. The recession may revive the importance of customer service in other companies. We will be shifting other web sites to Inmotion for their hosting services.

When I signed up, I couldn't log in since the system couldn't use the password I chose so I had to call to have them force it. Support is friendly, but not always available. Once, all sites went down, including inmotionhosting.com, so I called four times in the space of half an hour and got nothing but busy signals. That eventually cleared up. Other times I'm left waiting for over five minutes for phone support. Lately my site uses too much cpu, but InMotion can't say what on my site causes it. They say activating mysql slow queries uses too much cpu, but other hosts use it just fine. I'm running phpBB forums with 30 users on per day. But right now, if I want to keep hosting with them I have to upgrade for another $1-2,000. That's a lot of money to not know how to fix the problem. And they flatly say they're not programmers so they don't know anything. I understand my site is using too many resources, but they're not helping. It seems all they want is my money or for me to leave.

I've checked out other companies since I signed up just to see what they offer and nobody really compares to what I can get with Inmotion. Really top notch. I've only had about an hour of downtime once and that was because I was transferring a domain over to them. Other than that, I've never had a problem. Can't recommend these guys enough.

When we explained that we are a 501c3 Not for Profit Christian company and just need a reliable website they acted disgusted and said the best they could do is $129 if we had nothing but the basics. You have emailed us for help in the past but calling really is the best way to get these issues resolve. Our hold times are very short - a minute or 2 only - and then our web builder specialists can walk through the issues with you and make sure you get what you need accomplished.

Unfortunately web builders, just by their nature, can be a bit tricky and each one has its own quirks. We researched and tested numerous builders and we feel that the one we provide really is the best out there. Certainly, it is not perfect, but our web builder specialists can really work wonders with it.

I hope you reconsider switching and give us the opportunity to help you finish building your web site.

I am extremely satisfied with the service Inmotion Hosting has been providing. I have a VPS account (DVDYourMemories.com) and the service has kept my site up longer than either of my two previous hosting companies (Lunarpages and OLM). I know this because I have an uptime tracker installed which alerts me when the site is down. What's more, when I do need some technical support, the technicians pick up in less than one minute. This is unheard of with most hosting companies! With Lunarpages and OLM I would average about 10 minutes before someone would actually answer the phone. Add that to the fact that the technicians actually spoke English and knew what they were talking about. I'll be continuing to use their services in the future and have already referred many other business owners over to InMotion Hosting.

Maybe InMotion is top rated for something, but its Site Builder isn't it. Everything is an effort, from getting it set up, to editing, to uploading photographs, to talking to customer support, to even things as simple as inserting a link. Want to use a larger font size but on just one small quote? Nope. Everything within the text changes. Just got through uploading a photo and adding a title. Have done that before. This time, I go to Preview and photo and title are not there. I start over. Still doesn't take. That's the kind of inconsistency that is ironically quite consistent. What you see on the working pages is NOT what you see when published. Loading your own banners is practically impossible. Every time I edit those pages, something else goes wrong. I would never recommend this company. I am getting ready to change.

I'm not one to put up with inept customer service and that was the no. 1 reason I chose to go with InMotion Hosting. The majority of reviews gave the customer service high marks. I decided to give them a try and have had no regrets. I know just enough about web building to be dangerous, you know what I mean? Customer service always treated me with respect and courtesy regardless of how elementary my question was. I have been able to build some impressive sites and have started a small business because of the good experience I have had with InMotion Hosting. I'll stay with them as long as they continue their good service. I also love the fact that they are based in the great United States of America!!!!

Just switched from xlhost. Their customer service is terrible and they encourage spammers which tainted my IPs. Inmotion is a breathe of fresh air. Friendly, cpanel integration is great. Aggressive anti-SPAM from users. I paid about double what I was paying at xlhost but machine is faster with more RAM, connection is faster, and customer service is superb. I will post again after a few months of use.

If you're looking for a reliable, hosting provider with excellent customer service and tech support, then inmotion is the place to be. This is the 3rd hosting provider I've used and they are hands down, the best in all areas. Some of the other places are great talkers but when you need support on a Sunday at 12:30 pm, they're never available. Well - not inmotion hosting. They are ALWAYS available, always polite, and the tech support will always handle your issue effectively and immediately. The CPanel is really easy to use and the added applications are great and very useful. All in all, I have been with this provider for over a year and I'm still absolutely thrilled with their service.

They just simply take care of EVERYTHING for me. I don't know the terms, the proceedures or even what is possible...and they cheerfully and effortlessly do it for me 24/7 on my website. I call on the phone and ask "Do I write a page with words that the search engines will recognise? How do I put it on the web and where?" They say "It's easier for us to do it for you. Let me send you a link that explains what kind of words you need and a bit about it. Then call back with any questions and we'll place it in your website for you where the search engines will see it best." They baby sit and educate me pleasantly at all hours in American English (24/7). Any other Hosting Service would do me no good without qualified people taking care of me at every step of the way. In summary..I don't have the education needed to do anything with web hosting. And with them I don't need to know anything. I have hired the best professionals there are to do it for me!

When I called it was taken care of for me. After that I had several other problems finishing the migration. The help I received was patient, helpful, and really consistently exemplary. Allmost All of them had --- Pathetic Customer Service --- Hoping That YOU Would let them Design and Build Your Web-Site --- Why would You Want an IDIOT Who Can Not Answer a SIMPLE Question Building ANYTHING for YOU. They Have RIDICULOUS PACKAGE PRICES for their services and Usually want to Sign you UP --- LONG TERM --- on a Monthly Pay Plan for 1 or 2 or 3 YEARS --- DO NOT FALL FOR IT . Before starting my website/forum, I did a good bit of research in order to determine the best cost/quality hosting service. I'm glad I did, and that I chose InMotion! We've been with them for two years now using a shared server. Uptime is pretty good--it does drop out on occasion, but never for more than a few minutes. The server a friend was using for our predecessor forum went down a LOT more frequently, often for hours at a time. When I've had technical issues to deal with, response has always been prompt, friendly, and in good English--none of this txtspk stuff. If you have a website, you KNOW how important this is!

The Host service and prices are good but you don't have access to user account manager, means the status of your billing, domain names and sites you don't have access to these and this is why I want to leave them. Tech support: if it's your lucky day, you just want to kiss them. If it's your unlucky day, you want to punch the guy in the face. They have good people and bad people. It used to be better two years ago but lately, they are a bit slaggy maybe it's getting busy and these guys want a raise.

At first I signed up with JustHost because of their low prices. After a few weeks of slow and uncaring tech support responses, I decided to look for a better host. I came across InMotion Hosting. Although InMotion is not perfect, they are much more responsive and helpful. I'm a person that works odd hours, and I can verify that they are a true 24/7 shop. I've called and spoken with their reps at 2am. I recommend that anyone looking for a new host look not only at the price (like I first did) but really at the true quality of the support and customer service. It has saved me a lot of headache.

My friend and I are not brand new to computers, but we are to web design. After being totally confused by another host's web builder, we moved to InMotion. That was the best thing we've done so far! Their site builder software that comes with their Power subscription is great for novices like us. You don't have to know Sanskrit to get things rolling. Tech support is also excellent and they reply quickly via both email and phone. While we haven't yet experienced their service once a site is online, we don't expect to be disappointed when we get to that step.

Recently I was tasked by an ambitious board to create a website for my non-profit. Their faith in my computer prowess led them to assume I knew something, anything, about web design. I researched many companies for the hosting part and came across InMotion. I am very happy that I did. Setup was a breeze with polite, knowledgeable, English speaking staff members. Learning as I went along, I had my share of mistakes. InMotion was there to help me out and get me back on track. The potential for this whole idea to crash and burn was immense, but InMotion kept me on track. VERY happy with my decision.

InMotion has hosted my site since 2005 and I am a completely satisfied customer! Their servers are absolutely reliable - my site has never gone down. As well, I appreciate that I have been able to email and phone them with oddball questions and they have always been able to assist me. I always feel like they are going the extra mile to help me out. I have had sites hosted by other companies that had me wait for hours on the phone to speak to a customer service rep, only to get someone with little knowledge or desire to assist on the other end. InMotion's customer service is incredible! The customer is definitely getting their money's worth with InMotion!!

I am sorry the limitation on shared servers for outbound email created a problem for you. That limit greatly helps us keep spam under control and a 250/hour limit is usually much greater than any account on shared hosting needs. This helps ensure the integrity of the server and its mail IP for all users that share that machine. It is possible for us to modify this for accounts, you just need to submit a request with a little background information.

As for the "push" email, that is not something we advertise, if you could direct me to where you read that I would very much appreciate it. What you may have seen is our email does support IMAP, which is very popular now for cell phones/multi computer users, but it has different ways of working depending on your phone.

They stated that they limit e-mails outbound to 250/hour on the business (shared) accounts, else one has to buy a dedicated hosting plan. Also, their "push" e-mail is not really push e-mail, despite what they state on their website.

After researching for several weeks I decided on Inmotion Hosting. Their packages & prices were very competative and seemed to meet my needs. The initial call was ok, but when I received my welcome email I found the auto-generated user name was unacceptable. I called & was told no one but the president of the company could change it (no offer to have him do that). Bad omen-if this simple request is a problem I don't want to find out what other limitations & unsolvable problems I would encounter. I cancelled within 20 nimutes & of course it will take 24 to 48 hours to process my credit card cancellation. Too bad-I like what I saw on their site.

I have been with them for two years and they still saying the same thing for two years, we are working on User Control Panel. How can them say they are the best when they can't provide User account Control panel. This is not good if you have few websites and some extra domain names, there is no way to know what is going on with your account status. I am leaving them. The support is good and bad, it depends on who answer you.

I have been blown away by the quick and knowledgable customer/tech support. These guys have got it right. The pricing plans are a great value for speed of serving, and the allowances very generous for today's media-rich traffic. If there is one small thing I would add to my wish list, and that is in the web stats area. I would like to be able to select the full list of page visits for a single day's traffic, or a chose period (say, past week). But this is a very minor thing compared with the overall solid and friendly hosting experience.

I decided to move on from Network Solutions after reneging on their client referral program and began the arduous job of researching a new host. Narrowing it down to two (BlueHost & InMotion) I decided on InMotion because of their on-shore technical support, their upfront sales team, and the fact that they have two server locations (east coast and west coast). My site has never been quicker to load and a couple of glitches I experienced at the onset, which included some outdated php code my site had and had nothing to do with InMotion, were quickly researched, found and updated by them. The technical support crew are the type of people I'd expect to only find by hiring outside consultants - yet they come with the package. Feel like I drew an Ace of Spades.

Very often people for whom computer literacy was integrated into their education, have little insight into the mind set of those who did not. It is often further accerbated by not only the inability of those "nons" to explain the problem in a form that makes sense to the "knowledgeables" , as there is a computer communications language barrier. Reasonably intelligent people can overcome this, however patience and courtesy are key to making it a rewarding and pleasant experience., on the part of both parties. Tim C of Inmotion exemplified all the best characteristics of a "techie" helping a "non".

This, to me, is a paradigm of how customer service should work -- it goes through the appropriate channels, and sometimes your issue is not resolved immediately. It leaves you a bit steaming (mostly from worrying that when you get to the point where you're ready to explain fully the situation to the appropriate party that they won't see it your way), but if you are reflective and composed enough to write a letter explaining the situation you hope against all hopes that such an email will be validated. And in my case over an issue with domain name registration with InMotion it was and that's what makes me so happy, to know that a provider I am working with actually is capable of independent thought and rational reflection.

I called back next business day with questions but could not get a response for 4 more days and was told they had been too busy to return my calls. If that's their response to a potential customer what would it be if I had a problem with their service?

Our business has been hosted with inmotionhosting.com for several years now. It's fairly headache free, works well and our site is up. We don't call the tech support too much, but when we do, they do a good job. Recenlty we called to help us configure our blackberry's and the guy that I talked to was very helpful. My suggestion is to give them a shot. We came from yahoo web hosting (who I suggest you stay away from) and are happily hosted for several years.

I am VERY happy with InMotion!! At my previous hosting service, I had a fairly major issue critical to my business for support to review. They took several days, informed me - first - I had the wrong package and -second - when I was put on the right package .. they didn't offer that type of media hosting - Quicktime!! I called inMotion on Saturday after I learned of this - about 3 PM - spoke to Matt and told him of my issue. He said no problem! By 5 PM, I was signed up. By 8 PM I was on my new FTP server. Then, when I needed supports help getting the site builder installed, Erik S. got it up in literally no time - mere minutes! Very impressive given my experience last week with "Brand X." InMotion might push my "programming" ability to the limit - I have little experience, sadly!- but I know prompt, knowledgeable and nice folks will be there to help me out when I get stuck! I am - again - VERY happy with my new account with InMotion.

INMOTION is a good hosting service. The tech support is 24/7 and wait times are generally low, and we've only found one person in the few times we've called that we thought wasn't that great. Mostly, everyone has been knowledgeable, helpful and courteous. We're not crazy about how the webmail is handled. Seems a little clunky to us and the software you're using isn't that great. Though it's serviceable, it could be improved easily. But in the main, we're pretty happy we're with INMOTION. Stay in touch with notices about new services, improved software or operational tips. Communication is key. All that said, I would recommend INMOTION to others. Thanks...

We just joined InMotion as our previous hosts customer support has tanked this past year. We will spend extra if it means getting the best support. Bells and whistles are nice but glitter is glitter and even the shiniest car is useless when it's not running or running properly. During the migration to InMotion all of our aspirations and opinions were verified. The support from InMotion was "WOW". Everyone we dealt with was more than qualified they were helpful and concerned. That is a biggie in the support world. It was obvious they were reading and understanding our tickets (a feat in and of itself, ha ha). They responded quickly and with clarity. They did more than just read off the card with the "if a do b" approach. They were involved with our issues, looked at and into situations, which goes beyond the look at the pieces to look at the whole of a situation. They went above and beyond which is greatly appreciated. We certainly will not be asking for a refund. Big thumbs up!

I originally had hosting with GoDaddy. I was with them for almost one month and I experienced so many problems that I never even activiated my account. I then switched to InMotion. I was hoping that I didn't encounter the same problems that I previously had and I can tell you that none occurred. I was able to upload my website, point my domain and make any necessary changes without any problems. The edit software is superior and the screens are well layed out and helpful. The online videos pretty much tell you all you need to know. The online chat is only a minute at most. Updating is quick. Can't say enough good things about them.

I am sorry this occured. I looked into your chat and the Support Rep attempted to transfer you to the Sales Team. The transfer didn't go through but the Rep didn't realize the transfer failed. Also, our policy is to notify you when transferring and this Rep did not follow the standard. Again, I am sorry and we are working with the Rep to correct this.

Furthermore, we are also looking into having our chat software work more like our phone system. For example, if a call is waiting for more than 7 minutes, our phone system notifies the appropriate managers. If it persists, it notifies me.

That has helped us keep our average hold time to under 2 minutes for the last 4 months and under 2 1/2 minutes for almost 2 years now! The chat system doesn't have this type of tracking yet, but we are working on it.

I contacted Inmotion through Live Chat. Was greeted after about 1 minute, which was encouraging. I made a pretty simple inquiry about how much it costs to register additional domains after establishing an account with them. The CSR asked me to wait a moment. After about 2 more minutes, a message came up that said "One moment". After 11 minutes overall, I never received a response. I wrote back and said I might get back to them later, as I was on my way out in a short while. I left the Chat window open, and after 18 minutes total, there was still no response. At that point, I closed the Chat session. I realize it's a minor shortcoming, but it's the difference between getting a new account, and not getting an account.

A host that works all the time, with no phone calls, no excuses, no apologies, and no slimy practices like Webportal.Information.com 404 pages. A decent control panel and a good fast pipe, and no nonsense, so I can spend my time running my business. That's not asking all that much, but it seems to be getting to be a scarce item these days. So Far, So Good! Happy.

I am coming up for my 2nd year renewal with InMotion. They will have my business again this year. They have been very solid. Tech support is available almost instantly on the phone. Some of the documentation looks a little dated, but a call into support to verify what I believe was the solution makes it better. They do need to update a few things in their control panel which I hope that they do before my 3rd year renewal. Keep up the good work!

I've used InMotion for hosting of my three web sites for the past three years. Their simply the best, hands down. In three years, I've NEVER once experienced downtime. Super fast servers, cPanel Pro, Fantastico, SQL, php, unlimited bandwidth, unlimited storage. Customer and tech support is first class. Adding a new domain is a piece of cake. Wow, I just cant say enough good things. I'll NEVER, EVER switch to another host. I used HostGator once, and they were great. BUT... I did have some downtime and their support is nowhere as good as InMotion. InMotion is awesome in every single aspect. Maybe a little more expensive than others, but I don't mind paying a few bucks more for this kind of service. Number one in my book!

I purchased a site and hosting package through InMotion yesterday. A salesrep, Matt B., answered my questions well through the chat, even checking with his teammates to ensure accuracy. He stalled at some points, but made up for in saving me a step and some time by calling me to set up my account. He was very courteous and professional. They also won points for allowing me to correct my domain name a short time after I had submitted it. They were cool and *prompt* about it. I was scared it would take long or that I'd get crappy compliance, but it was smooth sailing. So far so good as a newbie to site design. I don't like the choice of site templates they offer - the lack the pizazz I want - but at least my package offers them as well as help, and they are decent looking to be fair. The tech support folks were cool and friendly when I called at a later time to ask a question. If they keep up this type of service, they'll also keep my business. Time will tell!

I was looking at the lower priced hosting options on this list and then I gave Inmotion a call. I spoke to Brian in sales and he laid out some very good reasons why Inmotion is worth the extra few bucks a month so I decided to give them a shot. Hold times are low on the phone. I don't think I've waited more than 2 or 3 min. My email and website run smooth and I really like the wordpress blog that tech support helped me install. Overall, they're pretty darn good. In my opinion, some of the techs are better than others, but that just may be me. Thanks

After two weeks I received an email from Inmotion about "high resource usage" and Vannessa from system administration took my call and worked with me on the phone and had me disable my plugins one by one until she saw which one was causing the problem - the forum.I have been through 4 hosts with the same problem and none were willing to help me. With Inmotion not only did I get to talk to a live person but in 10 mins she was able to figure out a problem that has been hauting me for 6 years and she gave me an alternative to the forum plugin that I was using that I ended up liking a lot better. She also gave a few plugins that I could install to increase the performance of my website.I respect that a host cares enough about their customers to make sure that problem sites are not slowing down the servers but what I like more is they are willing to help the owners of the problem sites instead of just terminating their service which is was you can expect from other hosts.

April 14 2008: Being new to web hosting, I signed up for a domain name+hosting, taking advantage of the 2 yr pre-paid plan, w/90 Day money back guarantee. PAID:$214 The web site builder was a joke-NOT WYSIWYG. Then they upgraded me to a new web builder ONLY AFTER I tried to cancel. I didn't like new builder, tried to cancel again. TRUTH: I filed a request via their site on June 20, 2008 asking for a refund-and today 9+ months later STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED IT! Has been total runaround! I call "where is my refund?" and get a different answer every time. VERY deceptive-was told I can't cancel my hosting w/them until I have a NEW HOST for them to transfer my domain to(!)-as if Hosting and Registrar is the same thing. Being naive I didn't argue. Now I know better. I called back but then they claimed they "never got" my request in June and now 90 days has passed. Goodbye $214 Today after 9 months+ they admit "we see you filed for a refund in June" Refund promised, not holding my breath

I moved from HostDime.com about 3yrs ago and have been happy since day one. Started off with a shared plan and moved to a VPS after a few months. I recently moved to their East Coast datacenter and the speeds scream! I cant recommend them over anyone else since Ive only been with a few others, but their support sets them well above anybody else. Ive never been on hold longer than 3 mins before getting a rep ( I tend to break/remove stuff I shouldnt so I call at least once a month it seems) and even ticket responses for backup restores are FAST! Reps like Vanessa and Brad and honestly most everyone there will go way above and beyond what needs to be done to make sure the customer is happy. Ive had only one issue and that was with getting two different answers on the same question. I complained and got a call from the Customer Support Manager the next day to sort things out! Thats service, I dont care who you ask.

Two weeks after paying them and trying to have my website transferred to their hosting from my previous host (who I will go back to and happily pay more), they couldn't get it to work. The transfer kept failing for an unexplained reason, and all tech support said was "keep trying for a few more days. This happens sometimes." This happened over and over and I was never given a better answer. The last time it failed, I didn't even get a response from tech support. Now I've asked to cancel and they better not charge me for the registration because it never went through.

I found Inmotion about 4 years ago and have been a happy customer since then. It is *very* difficult to find a good hosting company nowadays and even though Inmotion is not perfect, they are by far the best hosting company I have used. Specifically, when I need help with my web site, databases and more complicated stuff, they have always been there for me. Try finding another hosting company that actually has people that understand databases.

I have used them for hosting and for design and have found their pricing to be more than fair.

Anyways, good luck in your search for hosting but Inmotion has been good for me.

We have paid 10 times more moeny for vps hosting than shared hosting. we were very happy in the starting. soon after their money back period they started to do my site down. one day my account was completly closed, even data and file backup was also closed. No one on the live chat. We got e-mail answer after 18 hours of our support request. They said, our resource usage was too high. don't expect even 2times resource than shared hosting. It sucks

I am really sorry, but please understand, we really don't have a choice if your account is running a phishing scam. Once we determined that the phishing software was uploaded through your 3rd party software, without your knowledge, we disabled the phishing software and re-enabled your web site. To help combat this, as we stated in our emails covering your suspensions, it is critical that you keep your software as up to date as possible.

As for costs, we are a couple dollars more than some hosts out there. We offer much more though - multiple data centers, super low hold times, and a tech support team right here in the US being just a few of them.

I'd be happy to guide this if you choose to stay or help you with a refund if you don't - just let us know.

I am not sure why they are so highly regarded; their customer service sucks and while I had to contact them on several occasions, I was left banging my head against the wall each time. Most recently, my site was targeted as a phishing website and I inquired with tech support as to how this happened and if they can offer me any suggestions on how to fix it and prevent it. I was basically told, "oh, just change your password". Then the following week, I was charged for another year of service at an exorbitant rate. That was partly my fault because I didn't read the fine print. I am in the process of canceling and looking elsewhere.

Feb.19,2009: I was with IMH for nearly two years, it was really good and I thought this is it , I am with the best people in the business and will never move else where. But that has changed, and I am looking for new host, In the last few months, when i called in at night, I was greeted by a rude, cocky low manner staff who made me feel stupid because I wasn't an IT geek as he is. he tried to pass offf the answer as quick as he could'n, I guess he was panic because other lines are ringing, at the end, my problems wasn't solved and I was left with a curse out of my month. and this happened all the time until I am so pissed that I have to write this. And some of the new day time supporting staffs are wasting your time and conclusion with: you should send ticket to support for this matter as I can' do it over the phone, so why the hell are you sitting there answer the phone for. They have two great staffs are Vanessa and brad who can solve your problems within minutes.

In the past 8 years I've used several web hosts and InMotion is my favorite, always my first choice. I manage the websites for several businesses and sometimes have to work with other web hosts, and I am mostly frustrated with the others. InMotion is always helpful and has never let me down. They have 24/7 support that actually answers the phone and really is helpful. This past weekend I was forced to move a website of one of the businesses because their web host decided to just change their email policies without notifying their customers, and then didn't respond to my frantic attempts to contact them all day to correct the situation. Finally, I called InMotion at 2 AM and spoke to a helpful tech who helped me figure out how to migrate everything to InMotion. I called several times over the weekend and always received a quick courteous answer. By Monday we had the website and a very involved mailing list all ready to go! I've never had a problem with InMotion!

I've used several web hosts over the years and even worked for one as a remote CSR for a period of time so my present experience with InMotion Hosting and their Support Team brings me to write this review. I am not employed by them so my review is totally unbiased. They dealt with a ticket of mine in a quick, courteous and professional manner recently that exceeded my expectations. My ticket was not for some everyday item so I expected it to be in a que for a while. It was handled within an hour or so with follow up emails from a CSR named Justin to make sure all was well. So far, my experience with InMotion Hosting has been nothing but positive. Reliability, uptime, MaxSpeed and their Support Team being available 24/7 by phone and email seals the deal for me. Googling them brings up nothing but positive remarks from others as well. If you're looking for an absolutely positive experience with a web host, give InMotion Hosting a try. I don't think you'll regret it one bit.

Decided to switch from godaddy.com as I really don't see the connection between tech support and naked women. At least for the sort of sites I need to set up. Got a basic web hosting service from these folks completely set up--including activating the domain registration--in maybe 20 minutes. Customer support was polite, efficient and didn't try to sell me additional services. No assessment of the reliability yet but this is suited my needs just fine.

I switched from Godaddy after one too many issues with their very deceptive software. It has now been over two weeks and I feel obligated to let prospective shoppers that they offer a phenomenal offering. The price is right, the uptime is good, I chose the East Coast Data Center because I'm in the midwest and the my email travels fast. We have 5 employees that have all setup their email on their blackberry curves and they are great! Good Work!

I have been a customer since 2006. I have referred several clients to InMotion. I won't do that any more. I had problems when I switched OS to Vista. Some of those issues have been corrected. The 2 issues that have me ready to switch are: 1) I was sold 2 accounts when I only needed one. Total cost an extra $100 a year. When I discussed this with billing, they did not care. Attitude was “oh well.” For me $100 a year is a lot of money. I told billing I was looking elsewhere. 2) I cannot update customer or billing information from cPanel. Every other hosting company I checked has that option available. I figure it is a sales issue.

As a web developer it is hard to find a reliable host which ticks off all the boxes, but inMotion seems to do just that! From the first enquiry over the phone with the polite salesperson respectfully squashing any potential issues we may have had, and guiding us to our next steps. Throughout the process of ordering, obtaining and using the package, we have had full cooperation and effort to achieve what we need in a quick time. I can't fault the service of this company yet, even if I wanted to. The only thing I'd like to see improved would be the WebMail feature; Microsoft Outlook Web Access 2007 would be ideal.

Our network is really optimized for the fastest service in the US/North America. Currently, your site is in our West Coast data center. With you being in Turkey, it would be best to have your vps in our East Coast data center. That will make your download speeds faster - about 3000 miles closer to you - and your web site visitors from the US will still have the same fast service.

As for our service reps being available, our support staff truly does strive to provide the best support and the lowest resolution times in the industry. Looking at your account history I see that we have generally provided very quick resolutions, sometimes in as little as 10 minutes. I have used several hosts over the years. Inmotion reliability has been great (by far the best). I have a virtual private server which is a great service for the price. In addition, the few times I have to use technical support they have been very helpful. The response times are good and they try and actually help, even going beyond what is strictly hosting issues... They have been very helpful on a few issues when I was trying to get things working at first and adding some software to existing sites... The cPanel consol they use (common to many hosts) I find less than awesome but that is a pretty minor point - and not something you have many options with no matter what host you use.

I've been with InMotion for 2 years, and have not regretted it. Recently I extended my subscription and I'm still staying with them. 2 things that stands out about InMotion are value-for-money and excellent customer support. Value for money, you can easily see for yourself from the specs. Customer service is something to be experienced, and I have been impressed from the first day I was with them. They have always been prompt in their response over live chat and email. I'm overseas so I don't call because of the charges, but on their part, they have called me when we needed to talk. Their customer service people are also flexible and easy to work with, readily acceding to my requests many times. If after-sales support is something you care about, you can try InMotion.

Beware with Inmotion, this happened to me yesterday: 1) Setup phpadsnew from Inmotion Cpanel to be used only on a site hosted by Inmotion 2) Old version of software, updated to OpenX, using help from Inmotion Support Boards 3) Mail sent to me I was in breach of TOS for installing ads server, account would be blocked 24 hours later if not resolved (but account was suspended already) 4) Lost client due to this. No explanation from inmotion as to why I had not been given time to straighten out the confusion before the site was suspended directly. 5) Final reply: "The issue here is intent of use. We had PHPAds/OpenAds enabled, but that is for PRIVATE ads running on your site, not to be served to other sites. We clearly state in our TOS that we don't allow our customers to run ad servers." 6) No reply as to why the site was suspended directly. 7) What is meant by "private" use is still a mystery. Take care and choose services carefully!

I am very sorry you had trouble with the verification. Please call in and we will get this sorted out for you right away. Unfortunately, a few bad apples out there try to use hosting for things like spam and phishing and, to keep our network and customers safe, we really must do phone verifications.

For billing, when you fill out the order process we ask your credit card company if it would be ok to charge your card ("Authorization"), but we don't charge it yet. If we can't verify with you, we will not charge you. The "Authorization" will expire and it won't show up on your credit card bill at all.

As for our customer service, our team is made up of good, hard working people that go the extra mile for our customers every day. Please remember that respect on both sides is critical for success. We will earn your business, but we do need you to be respectful as well.

We have been with InMotion for 4 years now and are still satisfied. Of course, there are some issues; minimal downtime and sluggishness from time to time and certain features that I'd want more of, but overall, for PRICE AND LOW HOLD TIME plus VERY HELPFUL PEOPLE on the phone make it very worth it. If you are a business make sure to be very very careful when choosing a business web provider. These hosting companies are not like the cell phone providers who provide a similar product and support. It varies GREATLY from host to host. After 4 years with InMotion, I can happily let them know that I will be renewing for my 5th.

I originally signed up for InMotion Hosting in 2007. After a few months, I got an email from the system administrators that my site was using too much "memory and cpu." I immediately got upset and told their customer service that it wasn't my fault, and although the team worked with me to show me where my software was causing these issues, I felt like it was a 'bait and switch' to purchase their VPS hosting. I decided to cancel and find hosting elsewhere. WHAT A MISTAKE. Unlike InMotion Hosting, when my site had similar issues, these other hosts would just shut me down and wouldn't help me troubleshoot at all, often times taking days to answer my emails. Since then, I've moved back to InMotion Hosting on a VPS program nontheless, and my site has been running beautifully since. Thanks for the help. Next time there is an issue, I promise not to get so agressive :)

I'll skip over the array of features offered by InMotion, since that information is already available on their website. What places InMotion ahead of all the others is their responsive customer service. Support is offered in various formats: easy online text and video guided support, live chat, and phone. My website was activated right away, and within minutes of registering online, I received emails on how to begin setting up my site. I ran into some compatibility issues with my ftp application, but tech support responded within hours and the conflict was resolved. I've looked into the cheaper, and even free, hostings sites, and believe me, what you save in dollars and cents, you make up for in frustration. InMotion is well worth the money if you value your sanity.
