In this post, i will share you on how to install Webmin, a web-based interface for system administration for Linux, on CentOS 6.2. Assumed that you have root access and understand the basic usage of the webmin software.<\/p>\n

1. Download Webmin:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    2. Add the GPG Key:<\/strong><\/p>\n
      \n
      \n[root@centos6 ~]# rpm --import http:\/\/www.webmin.com\/jcameron-key.asc\n<\/pre>\n<\/ol>\n
      3. Install webmin :<\/strong><\/p>\n
        \n
        \n[root@centos6 ~]# rpm -U webmin-1.570-1.noarch.rpm\nOperating system is CentOS Linux\nWebmin install complete. You can now login to http:\/\/youripaddress:10000\/\nas root with your root password.\n<\/pre>\n<\/ol>\n
        4. Start webmin service :<\/strong><\/p>\n

          \n[root@centos6 ~]# service webmin start\n<\/pre>\n<\/ol>\n
          or<\/p>\n
            \n
            \n[root@centos6 ~]# \/etc\/init.d\/webmin start\n<\/pre>\n<\/ol>\n
            5. Make webmin auto start after reboot the centOS server:<\/strong><\/p>\n
              \n
              \n[root@centos6 ~]# chkconfig webmin on\n[root@centos6 ~]# chkconfig --list\nwebmin          0:off   1:off   2:on    3:on    4:on    5:on    6:off\n<\/pre>\n<\/ol>\n
              6. Login the webmin web interface :<\/strong><\/p>\n
