It’s a bold statement, and one that we’ve heard at several other web hosting providers during the years we’ve been doing this. So what ultimately makes them different from the rest of the heard? To answer that, let’s take a peek at the services that come with the Personal Linux Hosting package.
The PersonalClass package, as the company calls it, comes with—first and foremost—all of the unlimited features that we’ve been telling you about for so long. You’ll get unlimited disk space, unlimited monthly transfers, and even unlimited domains with the PersonalClass Pro tier—more on that in a second. The pricing rundown looks something like this: For the PersonalClass package alone you’ll need to cough up a scant $4 a month, which is far below what we’re used to seeing with this kind of support. For the slightly beefier edition of the same Linux-based package—that is the PersonalClass Pro model—you’ll need an only slightly more intimidating $7 a month. In all actuality, the Windows hosting plans offered here are some of the cheapest we’ve seen anywhere. For instance, the PersonalClass ASP pricing tier starts at only $5 a month—only slightly higher than the Linux branded services. If you’re looking for a more robust feature set, the ASP Pro package will only set you back $8 a month. Both of those prices are far below what we’re typically seeing for Windows hosting, which is a tremendous surprise (but a real lucky strike) for the businessman in need of Windows hosting.
On the subject of business hosting, it turns out that Arvixe also offers plans to cater there, as well.
The Business Hosting Plans
The business-branded hosting plans offered by Arvixe appear to be a lot like the personal hosting plans, but with one very important distinction. You see, having so many personal users locked up on one server is a great way to maximize space and power for the whole. It can also reduce the amount of resources available to a steady, consumer traffic. As such, Arvixe has avoided this problem for the business crowd by offering more private and select servers. These servers feature fewer customers, freeing up more of the total space for the business user to take advantage of. If you’re wondering, these plans also come with the same software, language, and unlimited support that we talked so much about earlier. In fact, the plans are nearly identical save the segregation of the power. There are even two unique pricing tiers for both Linux and Windows hosting.

My website access time can take up to 15 seconds and I can never seem to access my control panel except in rare occasions !!! Their outsourced tech support are a joke and very ignorant !! and they take forever to answer your support ticket !! Avoid them like the plague.

August 29, 2018DO NOT USE ARVIXE FOR WEB HOSTING! Whomever you choose as a hosting company, just make sure it is NOT Arvixe VPS. The horror stories I can tell you about their poor customer service, their very untalented support personnel, the long wait times to try to reach someone. They even recently disabled the ability to turn in a trouble ticket, for pete's sake! Lack of reimbursement or remuneration for problems they caused, and on and on. I have been in the computer industry since 1978 and have had a number of different web hosting companies for my business since 1996. I have a ton of experience in this arena, and I can say that by far, hands down, without a question, Arvixe is the WORST choice I have ever made. Go with Databank or CF Web hosting - any one but Arvixe! Worst. Hosting. Service. Ever.

February 17, 2018Arvixe is horrible in many ways: Lots of downtime, IPs being blacklisted, worst costumer service ever. They even discontinued their phone support and now you have to go through live chat which is useless. They renew your services without letting you know and wont issue a refund afterwards. Stay away!

I had web hosting and a domain name with another company that got acquired by Arvixe. I immediately had problems with their service. I decided to renew any way because it seemed like a hassle to change. The very next day after I renewed my service, I couldn't access my account. 3 days of talking to Live Chat, and no one could get me connected to my account. So I asked to cancel. Over the next 6 weeks Arvixe sent me multiple requests for the same information, told me to do things that required me accessing my account which I couldn't access, and finally told me I couldn't have a refund because it wasn't a new account. As far as I'm concerned, they stole $200 from me.

January 05, 2018They migrated my website to a new server in December 2017. They didn't advise me of such nor did they backup any of my files for me. So when the migration was complete, I had no files from the last two years on my website!! When I approached them about this problem, which is only possible through online chat, they claimed they had backups available for that month as well as two previous months. I asked them to restore my website from a December 2017 backup. Once I did, they claimed they in fact did not have any backups available and my website could not in fact be restored. This is an absolutely terrible hosting company and very unreliable. I would stay very far away.

December 14, 2017Will auto renew (and auto charge you) one year after you have cancelled your account
I have cancelled my Arvixe account in 2016 Nov. And then one year later this year (2017) they sent me a $0 invoice for domain renewal. A few days later sent me another email saying the domain has expired and no longer available. Then, the next day, they just charged my credit card $9.95 and emailed me saying the domain has been renewed. Whtat kind of company still keep your credit card info and auto renew on after you have cancelled your account??? I thought it is a mistake and they will refund me so I talked to their online support. To my shocking, the support guy admittedly saying my account has been cancelled but the auto renew is still on and they can't refund me. Stay away from this hosting....

November 09, 20171. From the beginning, they broke my website 2 times and couldn't recover it. I had to redo it from scratch. I kept using them for the fairly low price. 2. Very old Cpanel, some functions are broken. PHP is an old version and they are not updating it because it will break all the hosting. 3. My account was compromised and I saw some new files on my FTP which weren't either mine or theirs. 4. The servers are very very ... very slow. 5. I moved to another hosting and left only the domains there. After two months I wasn't able to log into my account. Their password recovery system was not working to recover my login info (though I haven't changed it). I am writing this now as I speak with a CSR on the chat who is trying to give me some info about the issue for the past 1 hour with no success. I have been asked for all kind of information just to prove that I am the owner of the account, and after 1 hour they said "ok i will send you the info to your email" ... but I am not receiving emails from you .. After this is over I am transferring all domains to another registrant and I hope this will be the end with my relationship with Arvixe.

November 01, 2017There's no WORSE hosting company in all the Western World. We contracted UNLIMITED Disk Space as advertised. They started pushing the costlier plan every once in a while after the 30days money back period ended. Every time they were suspending Disk operations and everytime they were losing the argument and forced to back down. Then they "updated" their TOS advertising UNMETERED instead of UNLIMITED... like that would make a difference. Then they added a 150,000 inodes limit (files+folders limit) in trying to do whatever to make you keep your space usage at a minimum, saying that average users have a "normal use" of 30GB space. LOL, what a lame excuse. For a US hosting (they say, even though most of the staff have Pakistani names) the service is awfully SLOW. By the look of it they didn't upgrade the infrastructure since early 2015 when they were bought by EIG. That's almost 3 years. Being behind by 3 years is a LOT in IT business. Support is hindu/paki as we mentioned, poor IT skilled, lazy and lying through their teeth. Tickets receive replies in about 48h while chat support is useless, since the pakis attending don't have server access nor skills. They will just pass the issue to a written ticket and that's it. Stay Away, they are cheap for a reason and not a good one.

It was a horrible experience and i canceled my account back in 2015 but they still keep charging me . There is no credit card information of me to remove but they have it and i dont believe that they will ever remove it even tho they say they will . I guess i will have to keep paying them forever . October 08, 2017No Service Level Agreements in place: that simply means you will not get any of your issues fixed! Incompetent Staff: these guys don't have a clue what they are doing, I have tried with them for many years, and every step of the way they mess things up! Billed multiple times in error: these guys are still investigating why they billed me in error, this is almost month 3 and nothing! Major down times: If you value your website being up and available to your clients, then use Amazon AWS or Microsoft Azure or host it yourself, whatever it is, but DON'T use ARVIXE. Go with Arvixe if you are NOT serious about running a business or if you are doing a school project or something that's not very important to you, oh, even those may have issues! October 01, 2017Although Arvixe has 24/7 online chat, it's pretty much good for nothing. The reps are not knowledgeable and I actually had to guide them through many very basic functions. I think they outsource their tech-support and that's why they have no idea about to resolve even the most basic issues. If you email them, it takes about 4 days to get reply in which they ask to you verify your identity. And after that it takes another 4 days for your initial query to get answered. So a total of 8 days for something really simple to get answered. A terrible hosting company with even worse tech support and domain hosting plans. Stay away!

September 06, 2017Arvixe held my websites hostage, shut me down, told me to take corrective action but refused to grant my any access for 3 days now. No reason given, no action taken, just buy time with every intention to kill my traffics, ruin my SEO, and they think that's funny. They offer no support whatsoever, no phone, no tech, no sales, no billing ... Only online chat based in India that doesn't know anything, couldn't or wouldn't do anything except offering online hookers dating like chat! They are doing this as part of the scam/fraud as commented by hundreds of victims. My advise is please avoid this company like plague. Not only that, you should avoid all hosting company under Endurance International Group = scam, fraud, bully, abuse, downright criminal that should be shut down immediately. Their brand include Hostgator, BlueHost, iPage, SiteBuilder, BigRock, Domain.com, BuyDomains, ConstantContact, Single Platform, Mojo MarketPlace. August 12, 2017Arvixe used to have great service before being bought by EIG. Since then, it's become the worst in the industry. It now take 5 - 30 minutes to chat with someone (you can't even open your own tickets any more) and then each of their replies takes a minimum of 5 minutes. And do these chat people know anything? No. Total time to open a ticket: 30 minutes. But better yet? Your tickets will get ignored for days or months. I have one ticket that's been open for almost 6 months and was causing me to be unable to send email. And even worse, when I went to transfer my domain to another company, they purposefully blocked it to try to keep me from leaving their service. Just save yourself a lot of hassle and skip arvixe completely.

July 23, 2017Had Arvixe VPS service for 5 years. After they were bought in 2014 things really went to hell after they migrated datacenters and support functions to the parent company. We would be down for several days to 3 weeks. Support was a joke, no response to repeated inquires to status of fix. Worst yet is they would not refund or credit me for the extended downtimes and they kept billing me after we cancelled. Just find another host if you want to avoid the frustration and downtime.

We have taken their VPS Class server. If you want anything beyond what the chat representatives can do, good luck to you. You can wait for anywhere from 4 to 8 days to get your website fixed. I have had two experiences in the past two months. The first instance was that my website suddenly stopped working two months ago if the user typed www infront of the the domain name, like www.mydomain.com where as http://mydomain.com worked well. It took them over a week to fix this issue. Second issue happened recently. My website got hacked. I wanted them to restore the VPS from backup. They couldn't get the restore process started until 5 days after I raised the ticket. My website was down all those days! I do not think they have enough technicians who can attend all the tickets they have. If you have a serious problem, you are doomed if you are hosting with them.

July 03, 2017My hosting account lost suddently! they could not explain it!!! I lost all my sites, files, databases, lost everthing!!! They tried to recover some files, but they are too old, 2 years old files and databases. today 23th passed, till no response, admins just ignore responding! This is very bad when you did not get any response and wait everyday their response! I was running google ads on my sites, and I lost more money! definitely lost more money than paying this hosting fee! My sites still down! so I needed move to different hosting! I moved all sites to different hosting, but still I did not get my backup files and databases. Terrible hosting company!!! Be aware when you chose hosting company!!!

June 23, 2017The day Arvixe was bought by EGI, the Twitter feed stopped. And from that point on, everything went downhill very quickly. If you are unwise enough to read the hundreds and hundreds of ongoing, awful reviews about this company, and still choose to sign up with them, be sure to use a credit card. Last year, Arvixe tried repeatedly to bill me for services they no longer supplied (domain registrar). I disputed the charges with my credit card company, had them reversed and then had them blocked permanently from my credit card. Sure enough, when I did cancel, all the rest of my services, they tried to bill me anyway. I must say I am enjoying the emails they are sending me, which tell me their (fraudulent) attempted credit card charges are "failing" and that I MUST go to their site and update my card info. I don't think so. LOL :)

TAKE CARE ABOUT YOUR MONEY
I used this "company" to park some domains and publish others. This year I choose to move my main domain to another one service. First I tried to find the unlock code to move my domain and was not available everywhere. So I wrote to them "support" and I also discovered my domain was moved to another one person. But I was lucky, my email didn't change and I start the tranfer. After a long chat wirth them "support" I had my unlock code. After I moved my domain to another server they took from my bank account 67,20$ also if my automatic update was disabled. That's happen with the transaction N' 91A23397VF292072W of 13 January 2019. So I opened the ticket VFV-655-46604 asking the refound of this money, first becuase I don't need them service, second because my contract expire 28 January 2019 I was asking the reason they took the money from my account about one service I didn't plan to renew. They answered, it is my problem, and keep my money. When the terms of refound was expired they wrote me one new message on the same ticket to remember me the terms of refound was expired. Take care, they are really rubbers. They will do everything to steal money, if you really want use them service, use a temporary credit card to pay or your money will be stolen.
