July 23, 2018Don't waste your money. Awful service, poorly staffed support. Took 31 hours to respond to a query, with a completely useless response. Downtime costs money, and customer support is one of the most important aspects of a host. Go somewhere else.

December 12, 2017Dreamhost has become an unacceptably poor service provider. Now there are more problems problems and there no one to turn to. I wait several days for an email reply from their customer service and sometimes wait hours for their online chat support, until closing time when the system shuts down. There are more problems than ever with sites going down, slow speed, and unexpected 'security measures' which end up blocking friendly connections and bring down my site. I've been with DH since 2005. I don't want to change, but the service has gotten so awful that sticking with DH is like a time bomb for my business.

August 11, 2017I've been using DreamHost's services for perhaps 8 years. I haven't really been keeping track, but it's been a long time. During that time, they've consistently added new services, kept prices low and, whenever I've needed it, I've found their support to be prompt and precisely what I needed. I'm very technical, so I can't gauge how a less-technical person would fare, but the service has been great for me.

DreamHost meets all those needs extremely well and I recommend them whenever I am asked. Where they absolutely stand out from all the others (and from most other companies in general) is in their superb customer support - the best I have ever encountered either as a consultant or as a consumer.

August 10, 2017I've been with dreamhost since 1996. I've hosted half a dozen different sites with them, and would never go anywhere else. It's never mattered if I had a small question, or a big question, or a complicated question, they always answer fast, and make sure I'm taken care of. Even the monthly newsletter is fun to read! Couldn't be happier.

May 27, 2017Thanks so much! I have had lots of interaction with different web hosting. There are only two that I recall that have SUPERB customer service. You are definitely one of the two. But even better than that. You all are number 1 in customer service. If I were a bit more technically savvy, especially in speed then I would have stayed here. But as I grow I won't be creating my own site, but I will hire someone because it is very time-consuming. Although I was only there for about 24 hours I am rating most areas as a 5.

May 26, 2017As freelance web designer I switched my hosting of around 20 sites to Dreamhost about 2 years ago. I've been delighted with their uptime reliability, their friendly helpful support on the few times it's been needed and the speed of response. I switched to Dreamhost as I was having continual and repeated problems with my previous hosting company over WordPress installations and updates. I use WordPress for over half of my sites these days, and have had no such problems at Dreamhost. I often have to liaise with my clients' web hosting companies (when they arrange hosting themselves) and often feel talked down to or patronised, where Dreamhost are straight talking and friendly. Long may it continue :)

This domain is simply my "learning spot", where I first do the learning part; then apply it to the real website I've put up for our local charity. May 02, 2017I am quite satisfied with DreamHost. I've used them for just over 2 years, totally new to working on websites. Pricing is very fair and they don't hassle you with up-selling or buying other products. Since I wanted to develop my own website and learn HTML, CSS, etc. Dreamhost was a very good place to start. Their tech support and user forums are very helpful. They also have a good knowledge base to look up articles in.

May 02, 2017I've tried a number of hosting providers and never been totally happy, only lasting a year two tops (if I've been too busy to move) . That is until I found Dreamhost. Their support is nothing short of amazing. I find their reliability and uptime outstanding and their software top notch. They don't use cpanel which I consider a good thing. I believe their panel is home grown and I find it very user friendly and easy to use. To top it all off their pricing is extremely competitive.

April 18, 2017Hire my hosting since 2009, before I had tried many companies, after trying Dreamhost it is impossible to change, the control panel is different but very friendly, the perfect price for everything they do and the best of everything I have Enjoy with this company has been the customer service, every time I have needed them I have attended fast, direct and solved in such a short time that is the few times that I do a review of an Internet service company. I am a web designer and many clients have recommended to hire dreamhost, even living in Venezuela where a strong crisis affects us most of my clients maintain their service for the same reason as myself, a lot of added value and an excellent service.

April 14, 2017Near perfect up-time once you diagnose what your application actually needs to run. the MySQL VPS makes it easy to build powerful DBS backed applications without needing to understand all the technical jargon and settings involved. HOWEVER, this is all after the 1-3 week lead on getting access to your account after the first month is charged and started. Sadly there is no one to talk to during this process. If anyone cares their VPS runs on Ubuntu

April 14, 2017I run a nonprofit organization and help with several more, and that's what brought me into touch with DreamHost... they offer an unbeatable rate to nonprofits. But imagine my surprise to find out that they are absolutely tops in about every possible way. I've recommended them to many non-NGO people looking for a host because I've been impressed with them. In my experience they not only reply quickly, but several times have gone "above and beyond" what we would expect from our hosting plan. Honestly, I can't think of any aspect of web-hosting I'm aware of which they could do any better. Not that I'm an expert, but I have dealt with a number of other firms, and DH has been the best... zero hassles. I'm also not a person who generally takes the time to submit reviews. I'm making an exception because I feel they deserve to get kudos for their service and business model.

April 14, 2017I left Dreamhost a while back because they were a bit pricy for me - but after going with 1and1 (not great) and A Small Orange (good but not as good as DreamHost), I came back. They might not be the cheapest but they are the best! Their customer service is the best out there - the agents really listen to your concerns and give clear, helpful answers in a prompt time. Very happy with them.
