First of all, the site it awful to navigate. Even figuring out how to pay is nearly impossible. Second - they offer NO CUSTOMER SUPPORT with their "premium" hosting. You have to call a foreign number, at your expense, or wait to MAYBE get an email back in a few days. ALSO - they "update" your server, meaning they make it unusable for a day or two or however long they want, with no notice, during your paid subscription time, with no compensation for lost time etc - and they are rude when you ask why. Just buy elsewhere - there are plenty of fish in the sea. Let them die out.
Did not receive paid service - terrible customer service - have not received requested refund
Servers ran fine first time - no qualms there. Tried to reactivate a server a friend and I had been using, paid for them via PayPal, received the invoice and receipt for this purchase, and the servers did not reactivate.
Upon dealing with this issue, we decided to switch servers while waiting for the issue to be resolved. Noticed that the transactions were not reflected on my g-portal account, and decided to open a ticket to resolve the discrepancy in payment.
During this period (3 days) my friend and I made significant progress on a separate server, and so we decided we ought to ask for a refund instead of resolving the technical issue.
I openly admitted to their service staff that the technical issue could’ve been my fault, but that I still paid for the services I had not received/used, and would like a refund. The individual I had an exchange with was rude, short and seemingly incapable of apprehending or resolving the fact that I merely desired a refund and nothing more, despite my sharing that information - which I provided evidence for. In the early exchange, I complimented their service (not customer service) and ease of use, and expressed my intention to use their services in the future, and included the fact the my use in the future would’ve included a greater capacity and duration of use.
Despite my expressed interest in continuing and growing my customer relationship with their business, their customer service representative was incredibly rude.
I have not yet received a refund, despite having provided them with screenshots of my receipt, PayPal transaction ID’s as well as invoice ID’s.
The problem, in its entirety, seems to me to be a failure of properly validating payment on their end (their website shows no transactions took place, despite it being the means by which the service was paid for), in conjunction with a total failure of properly training service staff - I provided additional details of why the service might not have been completed, and my concerns were rudely glossed-over.
From all this, I would absolutely not recommend their services to anyone - and would at the very least recommend terminating service after first-use.
