    What is not to like?

A while ago we were looking for a hosting provider to host our webshop for our sidebusiness. We were overwhelmed by the amount of hosting providers out there so we decided to make a list of things that were important to us and our business and tried to find a hosting provider that aligned the most with those. Sustainability quickly became number 1 on our list and after a long search Greengeeks came out on top on this department. Their values pretty much aligned with those we were looking for. We were even prepared to sacrifice other things on our list such as user-friendliness or uptime, but as it turns out, we did not even have to do that. User-friendliness: We were in no way computer or hosting experts and novice at most. We did not have any trouble setting up a hosting account. The process is quick and easy. Once you get up and running their dashboard is very pleasant to use, it is very clean and intuitive. 5 stars Price: are they the cheapest hosting provider in the world? No they are not, neither are they the most expensive. Why than 5 stars? In our case we find the price very good for the things that we expect from a sustainable provider. Reliability & Uptime: since we had my account We did not experience any unexpected downtime. There was a maintenance once, but this was well communicated in advance and did not take longer than communicated.5 stars in this department. Software: In our case we only needed Prestashop and this was available to install from the dasboard without any problems. 5 stars here. Tech Support: We only had to raise 1 ticket since signing up, and this was to transfer a domain to our account. In this case their support staff was very helpful and quick to react. 5 stars here. Did we just randomly click on 5 stars for every item? No, we did so because for us GreenGeeks was the best choice we could have made. If everyone would take their responsibility on sustainable choices (customers and providers), we could make this little planet a fun place to be for generations to come.
