March 29, 2018I did not expect such a quick service, considering the price of it.

December 29, 2016I had a site hosted by them when they just started, and was paying a ridiculous $25 a year for unlimited everything. The deal would have been great IF the service was, at a minimum, okay. Unfortunately their tech support (which seemed to be run by one individual) needed help, and the downtime was unsustainable for my PERSONAL website. I would not recommend them if you're trying to run a business site. Pay the extra $20-40 a year and go with a more stable company.

September 07, 2016This company seems to be run by pathetic and completely disorganized individual. I have stopped using their service 3(!) years ago and they still continue to send me invoices. Needless to say, the service was in the same pity way. I do consider sending invoices for service cancelled 3 years ago as Insult to human intelligence!

I signed up when HostLatte was apparently fairly young and new (2011 to mid 2013). In 2.5 years, there were about 3 minor crashes and 1 major crash ranging from a few days to 1 week. Evidently, it was caused by HL not having backups on their end. I suppose the downtime isn't that bad, but my new host has been 100% so far. On top of that, transfer speeds were never that great, Tech Support was a little slow (granted they were probably getting flooded with tickets regarding the crashes), and the higher-ups starting giving away freebies/upgrades to try and keep their customer base. All in all, I'm making excuses for their quality and service. I've since switched to another host -- paying just a little more -- and have never had an issue so far.

I have to say, I went to Host Latte, after my then host, Bluehost, went crazy with the price increases. I was also experiencing a lot of errors and down time, which I had not in previous years. I needed to change hosts quickly and Host Latte offered unbeatable prices. So I though I would give them a try. In the past year, I have not experienced any down time, access time seems peppy, and uploads are straight forward. The only negative is their interface is a bit clunky and their control panel could be updated. But once I got into my account and set up my FTP client, I have not really had to deal with their interface. If they made that more user friendly, I would have no complaints. For the price, at least so far, I have not been able to beat their service.

November 26, 2015Hostlatte is the Worst Company I have come across in a long time. Renewed my Domain via pay pal. Was told payment wasn't received and asked to file dispute even after sending PayPal receipt. Website is now in redemption period. Only useful information from “Customer Service” was an email to cancel the dispute as they had found the funds. Customer service to them is really simple and consists of “No “/ “can’t help “. Hostlatte should teach a course on what not to do. I would take Horrible over hostlatte and still come out ahead

September 04, 2015This is one of the most incompetent and dishonest companies I have ever dealt with. No customer service what so ever. No phone or email support. Can only deal with them via tickets which is frustrating given they have so many issues. I was a client for more than a year and service was down MOST of the time. I had automatic payment setup via paypal. Paypal will notify me that the payment has gone through but Hostlatte will advise that payment is over due. They would suspend my service every time when that happened. Fought with them a million times and was always promised that this would never happen again but it kept on happening. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! Go with more reliable hosting companies like godaddy or netfirms.

I have had an account setup with autopay through Hostlatte via PayPal. Payment is automatically deducted each month from my paypal account but at least every few months, I get an email telling me my account has been suspended due to overdue balance. I've repeatedly had to contact billing support and they fix it but it does the same thing a few months later. Luckily, I use Hostlatte as a personal domain. I would absolutely not trust them for a business hosting service if they suspend your account without notice due to a billing errors occurring on their end which they apparently don't know how to resolve.

This is not reliable and not trustworthy provider. I've hosted email server with them, they were NOT able to provide uninterrupted service even for email! Common issues: emails are not delivered - connection is ok but when send/receive nothing comes, or cannot connect to POP3 server at all; support is not good either. I would only imagine how much more frustration would cause hosting website with them... And don't expect to get "unconditional" refund from them either.

Quick question: Your servers go down. Do you (a) restore the backups, (b) contact your customers and let them know that things will be up and running ASAP or (c) stand around with the your thumb up your keister. They chose (c). From their piecemeal statements to angry customers via the chat support, it seems that they may not have redundancy, or backups. Many of us, after five days, don't even have DNS or MX servers up, sites themselves be damned. Even those who have had their sites "restored" are seeing months-old backups. Yeah. I'm picturing a few dusty old servers in some douche's basement. When they all crashed, with no backups, it left all of us absolutely up the creek without a paddle. Also, it's been five days. No emails. No "sorrys". No real updates whatsoever. In fact, if my email hadn't stopped working, I would have had no idea that their servers had gone down. Do yourself a favor. Spend the extra few bucks and go with a reputable company.

July 12, 2013I chose hostlatte because I needed unlimited space for a reasonable cost, and I got a really good deal from them. After 6 months, hosting has been great, with only two drawbacks - they don't provide a domain alias, which was a hinderance for setting up my site, and their email server is config'd to only send out 100 emails per hour. My old host did not have an email limit and didn't throttle them, so I wasn't used to this restriction. In the end, I decided to keep my old host and use their email server, but I need hostlatte for it's low cost unlimited space. I also noticed the first couple of months that they always had live and very responsive support via chat. Now, nobody is ever on chat, and all support is via email, and much slower. I hope that isn't the start of a trend in service degradation.

I'm using this host for an year. Initially having some downtime issue but after few weeks issue is solved and all my domains are running smoothly. Though sometimes access is very slow but overall performance at what price I got is very much satisfactory to me. I recommend to use this host. Recently they use varnish and now the load time is very fast also they update their specs to unlimited which is very good. Overall I like the hosting and want to keep my hosting with them.

March 28, 2013I had joined Hostlatte after getting favorable recommendation from friends. The only reason I am leaving is because system() and exec() functions not allowed under shared hosting. That is surprising because other hosts have no problems in allowing these functions. I will re-join Hostlatte when they decide to allow system() and exec() functions. I need these for my websites.

March 23, 2013Have had issues related to mail that turned out to be related to Comcast. Always got a quick response within an hour of submitting a trouble ticket, and the response is not just your typical bot-generated acknowledgement. Definitely can count on HostLatte for all of my future hosting needs. Also can't beat the price.

Embarrassing customer service
The first two years were fine. The second year, they sent a bill, I paid it, they sent a bill, I paid it, they sent a bill, I sent evidence I paid, they said ignore the automated messages...this went on for months. In the end I paid twice what was billed. Then my access to my e-mail stopped, bad certificate. I asked them to check the certificate, they told me to change my password. I said I can't get to the cpanel, there's a certificate error, I provided evidence, they told me they could get in fine, lol, whatever. Their entire tech support department should be fired. DO NOT USE HOSTLATTE! Find a service that provides what it advertises.
