my 1.5 year legal nightmare with InMotion
InMotion legal dept. accepted a complaint against me concerning IP violations, which turned out to be a hoax. I was given no advance warning and no option other than to comply with the (non-existent) violation. But that wasn't the worst. ///
They grossly mishandled the whole affair, and when I presented evidence of this, the attorney insulted me.

The only reason I didn't sue the company is because I live outside the USA. In the end I had to sue the hoaxer (who lives in my country) in order to release my domain from suspension. After they got a copy of the court decision, they cancelled the complaint. But I never got so much as an apology.
I was a loyal InMotion customer for over 5 years, but my confidence was totally shot. inMotion Management refused to get involved - it seems their 'legal dept.' is just this one attorney, who is not accountable to anyone.
I asked Support if they could gurantee that this nightmare would never happen to me again. They could not. So I found a new web host.
