June 30, 2019Signed up with them in mid 2000s. Never had a problem. Superb and quality service Last 2-3 years: spam filtering and email services went out the door. Still manageable. Last weekend's email downtime: I'm moving to another host at earliest opportunity! 84 hrs of downtime and counting is simply unacceptable!!! hopeless engineers and failed upgrade process. The team responsible for the upgrade planning and implementstion should be ashamed and find another job. Incompetent is an understatement!

June 29, 2019Same as so many others. I signed up in 2004, growing to 4 web sites. Over last few years the service has declined horribly. First they started telling my my credit card was out of date (which is wasn't) and that my hosting service would terminate (this happened three times). Then two of my web sites were mysteriously 'restored' to old versions from about 4 years ago and were completely non-functional, including a completely destroyed database of about 12000 records. They never accepted responsibility but offered me a month's subscription in 'compensation'. It has taken me thousands of pounds to restore an test. Now my emails have been inaccessible for 2.5 days, after they have been carrying out mintenence work DURING 2 WEEKDAYS - but they have overrun now and I have no way of finding out when things will be back. I am planning to move asap.

March 09, 2019Started my web company with them in 1998. Fantastic service, uptime, etc. But something has happened to them in the past couple years. They must have sold to someone else because their email services became horribly unreliable, their spam filtering awful, and their tech support became Indian and they have been next to worthless. I have been trying to get them to resolve an email filtering issue for almost THREE YEARS, and they still haven't appeared to escalate it past the level 1 support peons. I have had a complex set of email filters in place to prevent spam but also to guide specific emails to specific places, and they broke it all. PLUS they refuse to correctly implement currently recommended email server settings that have resulted in my domain getting banned by Gmail and Yahoo for spam. If you're a geek you'll be familiar with spf files, etc. and antispamcloud--that's where they have been awful. I am a tiny company and send limited emails to friends, family, and co-workers. No emails to customers or spam. And yet my emails get blocked because they don't have my spf and mail server settings correct. After being with them for 21 years, I am leaving them this week. I actually found this site to hopefully help me pick a better one! AVOID MYHOSTING.COM

February 05, 2019Horrible VPS hosting. The SQL services kept going down without warning even though they were just basic WordPress sites. They got me to buy more RAM. But the speeds were still horrible. Tech support just said it was in limits. Eventually changed hosting and all the problems went away!

June 21, 2018I have been with them for 6 years, Plesk business VPS. please do yourself a favor stay away from this crew of idiots. I asked them to update my PHP to the latest version because Plesk panel was glitchy it took them 5 days, all 5 days my website was down, finally decided to move my business over to another hosting provider, It took them 2 weeks just to cancel my subscription. NEVER AGAIN !!!

I would rather spend hours on the phone talking on the phone with the cable company than ever deal with the customer service support for Myhosting.com again. And that really says something! Because my cable company is infamous for its wretched service. I've been a classic customer of Softcom's Myhosting.com since 2002, and part of the reason I waited so long to move to GoDaddy is that I just knew it my bones that it would be a stressful hassle. Well let me tell you that transferring the site completely exceeded my worst case scenario. I have BEGGED the support team on the phone and e-mail to CANCEL my ENTIRE account since the end of May 2018. This would seem to be an easy process, but everything at Myhosting "gets escalated" for up to 48 hours. Or longer! And unless you're really ready to "escalate" the intensity of your communication, not much happens. Or they get it only partially right. Or just plain wrong. Despite my cancellation request, Softcom's MyHosting billed my card another month on June 1.. I am under NO CONTRACT. They keep saying that their CRM department will contact me with cancellation instructions but they never do. I have spent several hours on the phone through a dozen-plus calls as well as multiple e-mails trying to end my service. I have escalated this to a supervisor at their Call Center in India (and he insisted it would be resolved) but currently to no avail. It is now June 15, 2018 (more than 2 weeks after my initial request, and they still won't fulfill their obligation. I fully expect to be billed again on July 1.. I'm not sure if my problems with the company stem from corruption or ineptitude or some combination of the two. But company's customer-service problems absolutely apply to technical issues as well. You might get them to help "fix" something, but they inevitably break something else in the process. Please save your sanity and avoid doing business with this company. They will hold you hostage and bill you illegally. After all of my hair-pulling experiences, it's hard for me to believe Softcom's Myhosting is even still in business.

May 02, 2018I was with my hosting from the beginning. And I never thought I would leave them. I have had 3 websites with them. Today I have cancelled them all. No help what so ever after 6 weeks of passing the buck I decided to sever all ties. Avoid so many better providers out there now.

April 05, 2018The customer service agents are kind and helpful, but the IT team is bogged down and completely worthless. It has been more than 10 days since MyHosting.com produced a internal server error (HTTP 500) resulting in visitors not being able to access my website. The system is sending people to the error page, and not to the plain index.html page. The fact that it is their server producing the error and they can't seem to fix it is ludricrous. Their claims of escalating the matter to their operations team means nothing given that their operations team has been working on it for over a week. By the way, there was no offer to defray my hosting fees for the month.

January 07, 2018They require that you renew your domain names every year, including those that only have a forwarding plan. I had 3 domain names that unbeknownst to me had expired years ago, but I still had another active primary domain with them. They kept charging me for the expired domains, charging me monthly for services they were not providing, as the domains had expired. When I brought it to their attention and requested a refund, they blamed me (the customer) for not cancelling the forwarding plans. One would think that a domain name expiring, would result in a cancellation, but because I didn't know it had expired, and didn't take the manual step of logging into their system, and putting in a cancellation ticket, they feel completely justified in charging me for a service not provided (aka THEFT). Worst hosting company ever, stay away!

They read from a script, say they will help you and then say they have to transfer you to the escalation department and get back in 24-48 hours. The company's email is down and you're going to take 24-48 hours?? All I wanted was a simple domain transfer. Stay away from this company!!

December 27, 2017I have been a customer of My Hosting for nearly 9 years. I added a new domain with wordpress installation. I experienced some permission issues with files updated by another user. This required help from customer service. FAQ documents did not resolve the issue, chat support had no access to my account. Was promised multiple times to have a call back. Every time the call never came. One time after i complained on the ticket, the call came 2 hours late. Ultimately I transferred my domain via chat, which was surprisingly easy. I guess they do it a lot.

June 17, 2017This was really great company. customer service was top notch and I never really had a problem with them. Now they have outsourced to India and customer service does not exist. I've tried to get help with my account for a week and about transferring some things and they always reply... buy new service "here is a link". Why would I pay for the same thing twice? Email response as previously noted in other reviews are far and few between. If I was able to speak with someone knowledgeable, this would be corrected in 5-10 minutes.. instead I'm a week into this and have made ZERO progress. I have a contact number for a business manager whom contacted me to get me switch. Now he doesn't not answer his phone or call me back (this has been a month)... he should be fired!!! simple put, this company cares about money and ZERO about its customers. I foresee this company going bankrupt soon. stay away and save your money! they will take it and provide no support.

June 11, 2017I have been using this company since 2006. Customer service used to great. Now they have grown to fast and jobbed out their customer service to India apparently based on the customer service reps I spoken with (although you cant really "speak" to someone you cant understand) I have been trying to restore my "MySQL" database on my Linux server from a local backup for over 1 month now. Its very clear that the customer service reps do not even have the ability to see what permissions are granted to my DB Server as they repetitively tell me to do things that I don't have permissions to do. I have sent them the responses as well as screen shots and they just keep sending me the same suggestions. And to make matters worse they generally take 24 to 48 hours to reply to each and every e-mail. This means that to ask a simple question can take weeks or months. You send them a question, they ask for a clarification, you send the additional info, they asked for. Those 3 email exchanges took over 8 days to complete I used to recommend this company to everyone, now all I can say is "stay away" Customer service is the single most important position at any company and these guys have failed miserably. After 10 years with 2 ecommerce sites hosted by "Myhosting.com" I am looking for a new hosting company.

Suddenly the service went up by 30% and their support went down by 90%.. did have issues and create several support ticket without answer, did call their support HOT line for more than a week without answer. My site was down for a week before I decided to move everything out.. stay away from myhosting.com!

March 27, 2017I keep on repeating the same support request, different person makes a wrong change every time and closes the case. Then after I reply they apologize, and the next support person again repeats the same wrong step. It's groundhog day, but not funny. In meantime I'm not able to receive e-mail... I have a feeling if they all gathered in the same room the collective IQ wouldn't match room temperature.

March 23, 2017I have been with myhosting for over 15 years and recently I changed my account with them...from a classic account to an OnCloud account...I thought I was going to save some $$...it's been nothing but a nightmare...tech support call after tech support call...no one can solve the issue of "where is my website"...that's right...it's gone!!! and no one can fix it in their support department!!!...it's unbelievable !!! They have lost a long time customer...I'm vvvvvery disappointed....DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY WITH THIS COMPANY.

March 12, 2017My Experience with myhosting.com is really bad. They never full their commitment on time. Whenever any server related issure arries, I find very long and unsatisfied resolution. If you want to have myhosting as your hosting provider then have them totally at your own risk. I bet they will leave you in no mans land whenever any technical issue will arrise.

Poor uptime and HORRIBLE technical support!
Don’t let their 99.9% uptime promises fool you. Actually, this hosting provider doesn’t keep any of their promises. Refunds? HA! Yeah right. You might be offered credit for future crap service. When I’d finally had enough, I decided to migrate my site and email to another service provider. At least I’d hoped to, but they were kind enough to TERMINATE my account and PERMANENTLY DELETE my data WITHOUT NOTICE! Buyer beware!
