January 26, 2012I have been using supergreen personally and for a large number of my webdesign clients for 3years. Recently they were merged with JustHost and all I can say is STAY AWAY. Every couple of weeks or so their servers crash which means I have all my clients on the phone.... tech support is no help at all - sometime over a week to respond to emails... live chat can never give a straight answer. They don;t have a complaints department to resolve issues and so I am left with the only option to take them to court for lost earnings....at least it has given me the motivation to set-up my own green servers to host my clients.

January 19, 2012I am a professional webmaster. I work for Costa Rica and my Real Estate Client was very happy to prove his customers he is greenhosted... But it appears it isn't anymore... the green badges don't work anymore... I asked the chat assistance and Oh My !!!! The only thing they were able to tell me is : AJ: [4:04:00 PM] I apologize, but we do not provide support for this issue. We provide support for your hosting environment only and we recommend looking at your program's support forums, documentation, or consulting a web developer for further assistance. [4:23:53 PM] Your site is up, the server is up. But we do not support coding, programming or scripting of any kind "coding, programming or scripting of any kind" ???? The script comes from SUPERGREEN and the indicated page is "NOT FOUND" So i will post a new comment If they still are green OR if they cheat pretending they are green... Today i say : DON'T GO WITH SUPERGREEN !!!!!

January 04, 2012I had been very happy with SuperGreenHosting throughout 2011 until JustHost took over. The SuperGreenHosting customer support guys were a pleasure to deal with, they would go the extra mile for you, and deal with any tasks very promptly and 100% professionally. I experienced no problems whatsoever with their hosting of my site, 100% up-time etc, all great. I also particularly valued the company's green hosting policy and the green badges they provided to show my web visitors that my website was a certified green site. This all changed when JustHost took over. Although they claim that they are continuing the green policies previously created by SGH on their new company website, a rude and off-hand customer support person informed me in December that this was not so. Today I was surprised to get a call from my bank about an attempt to withdraw a payment from my account by SGH/JustHost which was higher than I would expect for my yearly renewal based on what I paid last year. I have now sent my termination notice to JustHost and moved to a new web hosting provider with good green credentials and great guys at Customer Support from what I can make out from my interactions with them today.

November 22, 2011I have been using SuperGreen Hosting for nearly 2 yrs and even own two accounts with them. Everything was good up until they started switching their customers to JustHost. JustHost now operates the hosting and that's why some of you are seeing tech support emails from JustHost. Countless issues in cpanel. Many times, I cannot even log into cpanel now. Techsupport is very slow and never tells you what the problems are. Sometimes they will just pass the buck to their billing department for tech issues??? And I've been waiting for nearly 5 days now between correspondances. My god.....

November 06, 2011My domain with Super Green Hosting was about to expire, and I paid my invoice 5 days before the date of expiration. All was well, and I received a receipt stating my payment had been processed. So I was quite surprised when my site was down on the date of expiration. I contacted tech support, only to be told my domain had expired because I did not pay. When I forwarded my receipt of payment, I was told that billing would be in touch with me sometime "later." So far, my site is still down. Very unhelpful customer service. To the company's credit, this if the first time I have had a problem during my year of use. However, this is a pretty big and irritating problem.

November 02, 2011Moved my blog from the Wordpress.com site to my own domain. Found a company that promised to set up my WP for free if I went with certain hosts. Unfortunately I picked Super Green Hosting. If there is a problem, Justhost.com contacts you. I didn't realize this and my site was shut down for using to many resources. When I asked Tech Support if they supported WP, I got an email reply that was rude, unhelpful and thoroughly unprofessional. I complained and immediately got an apology. Very, very poor experience with them overall. Not recommended.

October 24, 2011After only 2 weeks of using SuperGreen Hosting I found my website to be down and my webspace inaccessible. It has been down for a full day so far which means my customers cannot get onto my site and I cannot login to update or change anything. All their customer support team could tell me is that the server in which my website is stored has become 'overloaded' and a promise that "they are doing their best". No timescale has been given on when the issue will be fixed. I regret using this company for my hosting.

October 14, 2011Advertised to death inside the control panel. We don't get hosting to be bombarded with upgrades and advertising. Every control panel page pops up an ad for something stupid. Gets really annoying to point of uselessness. Control panel software isn't very good either. There are cleaner more respectful hosts. I'm personally going to try dreamhost, because it's both green and employee owned. FYI Supergreen is actually a front for a larger hosting company located in europe and own many of the review sites. Buyer Beware.

October 11, 2011I have just had so many problems with Supergreen. I dont have enough time to tell you how many things have gone wrong, most has been talked about in the other peoples posts.. and ive been trying to cancel with them for 3 days now and they are making it impossible. I am really frustrated. They are regulated by ICANN, I am writing to ICANN to complain about how they have treated me. I would suggest that if you are also having trouble with them that you write to ICANN too. Perhaps if enough of us write then someone from ICANN will go down and get them to improve things. http://www.icann.org/

September 17, 2011I had a hosting package with Supergreen. During the first year I paid about £3/month then the second year as expected the price increased to ~£6, in the third year the price then went up further 60% without any warning. I was unhappy and decided to move to a new host. However I left things a little bit late and so decided I would accept the new charge and use them for another year. When I went to make the payment their system had some sort of technical problem and didn't accept my payment, redirecting me to a blank screen. As my domain was about to expire I moved it off their server to a new host so as not to lose it. Then that night at 4am Supergreen processed my payment (8hours late). I called in the morning to get them to reverse the payment but had to make numerous calls to them to accept the problem as on their side and to reverse the payment - basically I had to threaten them with the small claims court to get them to do so. Finally I was refunded 80% of my payment - tossers!!

August 03, 2011Im with them more then 2 years... its shared hosting so I understand that sometimes page is load very slow but have daily problems with loading page.. more than 5 minutes = problem loading page msg in browser! Tech support very helpless (im linux and I understand servers too and sometimes I've got feeling like they even don't know what they doing) - good money but crap service! Always some problem or something hidden eh!

July 07, 2011Overall I've been pretty happy with SupergGreen. Only issue that has come up for me is tutorials are not so great. Setting up email on Android is a good example. I'm somewhat tech savvy but not a programmer by any means. That said, setting up email, specially for Android, should be as easy as following a recipe. It's not.

April 15, 2011We have had problems with Supergreen from the beginning. Intermittent connection problems. Dozens of emails and phone calls to their tech support have not resolved them. Their tech support is not North American based and I sometimes have trouble getting them to understand the ideas I’m trying to get across. And their TS reply emails do not include original text, so you sometimes have to go back and find your last one to refresh your mind as to what you wrote about. I am planning on using that money-back guarantee.

February 01, 2011This hosting is terrible. My website was never online, and when I called them I had to wait 37 minutes, when they said a maximum 3 minute wait. When I finally reached someone, they send send in a support ticket, maximum wait for that was 18 minutes, but I had to wait 27 hours for a response, and do you know what they said? "Sorry there is nothing we can do about that". So my website is not working and there is nothing they can do? I finally reached the manager over the phone complaining and wanting a refund, he at least knew what to do. After 72 hours they emailed me back saying there are no refunds, as stated in the TOS. But even in the TOS it says you can get refunds within 30 days. I had to go to PayPal and open a case. They said the same thing. I moved the case to PayPal and they forced Super Green Hosting to send me a refund for the item I don't have. Super Green Hosting also owns Just Host, and Host Clear. They are a very bad and rude hosting company!

October 20, 2010I have never experienced such poor service in my life!!! It was cheap hosting and now I know why It was horrible from the start. After I completed the online form and put in my CC info, I submitted it never went anywhere. It just said the server was unavailable so I dont even know if it was successful. So I tried to call their toll free number and I gave up after an hour of being on hold. I tried the live chat and no one seems to be really paying attention to what you are typing. It seems they are all drunk!! I kid you not - before you place an order, try their chat and start asking questions and they will give you answers that are so out of this world, its not even relevant to what you asked. I learned the hard way - so stay away from this company if you dont want to be aggravated! This is the first time I wrote a review ever. It was so frustrating that I had to do it!! EXTREMELY POOR SERVICE AND TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!! BEWARE!!!

August 28, 2010I canceled my account within a day. When you log into their cpanel a pop-up ad appears and reappears every time you go back to the home page of cpanel. Really annoying. Additionally, they have advertisements on the sidebars and in the middle panels of cpanel. They really hit you with advertisements on your own site. No way I could take that for three years. I emailed customer support and they said there is nothing they can do, that is for all their clients. I said I might cancel, so they sent me to the cancellation page and that is what I did. Don't sign up if you don't want to see lots of advertisements in the back end of your site.

Beware this company is running a scam. This company has been charging my credit card for about 6 months, but they never put my web site online. I have been trying to get a manager from the company to return my phone calls or emails for over a month, but no one ever responds. This company has no one incharge and is obviously running a scam. I have even sent this email to every address on the website hoping to get a reply befor I posted this email, but no one cared enough to reply. Beware this company is running a scam.

June 03, 2010I rated one star on all of the features not because the features are bad, but because the company seems to be blatantly Greenwashing. I see no proof anywhere on the website of their claims. Nor could the live chat support do anything but repeat what was already on the website. They couldn't even provide the name of the supposed tree-planting project they are a part of. Unless they demonstrate otherwise, please don't support this apparent false advertising.

Were great - now appalling
When I joined, they were great. Cheap, responsive and with an uptime good enough for me to have no complaints. Now, my sites are down for extended periods every day. And support have told me they're working on this, and it will be fixed in "early 2013". I'm writing this in April 2012. Avoid at all costs.
