GoDaddy Reviews

About

  • Fast, Secure Emails with Built-in Virus & Spam Protection
  • Huge Selection of Domain Name Extensions
  • GoDaddy SSL Certificates Issued Within Minutes
  • GoDaddy's 4GH Hosting Platform
  • WebSite Tonight - a Template Library, Including 2,000+ Templates

GoDaddy, the world's number one ICANN-accredited domain registrar, offers everything you might need for establishing your online presence: from custom email accounts to complete ecommerce solutions. The company currently manages over 52M domain names for more than 10M customers worldwide, delivering world-class products at the very competitive prices.

Shared

  • Linux OS with 150GB disk space
  • Works with WordPress, Joomla, Drupal & more
  • Unlimited websites & bandwidth
  • 500 email addresses & 25 MySQL databases (1GB ea.)
  • Free advertising credits for Google, Facebook & more

GoDaddy is an industry leader when it comes to incorporating different add-on services with regard to hosting in general. However, some of our visitors complain that GoDaddy order process became a bit confusing and annoying, especially when a load of other items appear in your shopping cart that you did not even want to buy. Of course, you do not have to buy these add-ons but GoDaddy definitely tries to push it to the point where you feel forced to buy them.

The best experience I had with them was when I first signed up. From then on, it's been an absolute nightmare.

Terrible service!!! Beware!!!!

They are very helpful and friendly when you first sign up, then from there good luck. They want nothing to do with helping you and they don't mind being rude about it. They don't care about helping a customer, they just rather take more money from you. They cancelled my hosting due to renewal issues and then claimed to have called me and left me messages. I told them repeatedly that I never received a call. After spinning that wheel for 30min, I asked what number did they call and come to find out they had a number that wasn't even mine. They said 5 times it's your job to update info not ours. I told these ignorant morons that I agree, however I didn't change my number, so there is nothing to update, your reps entered the wrong number in my account. The number they had was never mine. I was rudely told to renew my hosting which is fine, but then pay them $150 to restore my deleted page that they removed. I said are you serious and their reply was pay or this is the end of the road.

Absolutely Horrible Experience

I had a terrible experience using Go Daddy and my only regret is that I gave them my business for 3 years. First of all- their site is the least most user friendly of anything I have ever experienced. Second of all their customer support was absurd and they care more about $60 than their customer's satisfaction. I never updated my credit card but somehow they got access to my new credit card (UM SCAM!!) and charged me $60 for an email platform that doesn't work because I do not even own the domain anymore. Then when I tried to speak with someone they were 1.) RUDE 2.) did not listen to me 3.) put me in a roundabout on the phone for an HOUR 4.) said they would email me back and NEVER did and 5.)NEVER resolved my problem at all.

Deceptive, unethical, almost criminal... do you like being robbed? Stay away from them!

Like some class action lawsuits have alleged, they make their money the easy way. We bought a domain name through them. On the Auto-Renewal Settings page, there is an option to "renew annually" for five years. As the name implies, we thought that meant they'd bill us annually. There was nothing to indicate we would be charged right away for the entire five years UP FRONT until we saw it on our bank statement. A one-time payment is clearly NOT an "annual" action. The web page says nothing about billing and we were not redirected to a checkout page. Nothing to indicate merely changing a setting would result in us getting billed. The representative acknowledged that it does not say anything about it, he offered a lot of excuses, but ultimately refused to give us our money back. To me, this is blatant greed as we did not authorize the payment. Considering that they buy up people's domain names after they expired and then extort a lot more from them, you should NEVER do business with them
