This is the worst hosting service I've ever had the sad fate of using. They suspended my service because I had a cron job sending emails within my organization. They called it mail abuse. They wouldn't un-suspend my account. I couldn't talk to anyone because their phones don't work. No one answers the online chat. Finally, I spoke with someone via their online chat and they said that they couldn't help me. I received random emails from the admin asking me obscure questions like, "What are you going to do about this?" But they wouldn't let me access my account to do anything about it. I know you're thinking, this is a cheap service, but I PROMISE YOU WILL REGRET USING HOSTMETRO!

We suspend accounts with malicious scripts installed both for the protection of the site owner and all the other people on the server, since these scripts can use up a lot of resources and affect everyone on the server. We could not unsuspend your account until the malicious script was uninstalled for your own security. I'm not sure why you were unable to contact us regarding this matter, but our support team is 24/7 and they should work with you to help remove the script and reactivate service. Sometimes we do require user cooperation, but we are able to walk you through it. Again, I'm very sorry you experienced this. Feel free to contact us in regards to the support you received so we can figure out if there's an internal miscommunication issue we need to resolve. And if you are still experiencing this problem, please contact support so we can work with you and resolve the issue.

This is the worst hosting service I've ever had the sad fate of using. They suspended my service because I had a cron job sending emails within my organization. They called it mail abuse. Worst Hosting Company EVER

Signed up to do hosting - come to find out if your users use the wrong FTP user / password - their firewall locks out that IP - forever -- no way to see it, no way to know it, just very restrictive. No other host I have ever used has this restriction. Brought it to their attention, they refused to do anything, nor refund any of my money. Was told that "this is just how it is" and that was that.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! Try calling their 800 number. Oh? It doesn't work. Guess what. It's a fake recording telling you to use their chat. What about their contact page where you can find their address? Oh wait... A 404 not found error. Everything about this garbage company is a scam. Save your money. No matter how good of a deal you think this is, spend the extra few dollars so you don't have to deal with this ABOMINATION OF A COMPANY. I would rather stick my hand in the garbage disposal and turn it on than spend one more minute hosting with this company.

Cheap but painfully slow

I bought a hosting package from Hostmetro due to the great price, but I guess you get what you pay for. Too slow to host a Wordpress site. Ok for a static HTML site. The cPanel is painfully slow to use. I moved to hosts nearly immeditely for my work. Just keep HostMetro for the domain.

Cheap but painfully slow
