Horrendous Tech Support

Dont buy host monster. Horrible tech support. Will take 10 hours + to resolve the simplest issue with them. I had an SMTP issue that I had spend 15 hours with tech support to resolve. At the end of that, I felt I had no help. i made the deciscion to purchase 3rd party smtp server to send emails because how shitty the one they offer is, and the lack of support to fix my issue.

Horrendous Tech Support

Hostmonster - The WORST Hosting Company

Ohhh my, I dont really know where to start. We had 8 domains with Hostmonster and due to a Malware with one of them, all 8 were blocked. we tried getting them to tell us which one of them it was from October 2016 and this is February 2017 and even after so many phone calls and chats, they still cant. They keep redirecting us to Sitelock and we paid for 2 months of Sitelock service and still yet, the domains restrictions were not removed. As I write this, I have been chatting and calling both Sitelock and Hostmonster for the last 48 hours and still yet, we can't get any headway.... I really dont understand

Blacklisted email issues

Be careful-I see back in Sept 2016 someone had issues with their domain email because we are all piled in the same IP servers when it comes to their email. We are changing to Google email because they have not been able to get their own IP addresses cleared from blacklisted servers for over 2.5 weeks now-it has nothing to do with us...we even have our own static IP address so we dont have to worry about our domain name getting linked, but there is nothing they can do with their servers for email and this issue. We now have to pay per email to google each month so this we dont get lumped into a server with others that are abusing the system. Keep this in mind for the total cost of the Hostmonster Domain services-you can use their email.

Blacklisted email issues

If your business count and need a website run from HM. Our customer sites have 3 days down (That happen a least 1 or 2 time a year now) They always say the same. Out team is working there are no ETA time

Avoid like the plague

I recommended HM to a client for an emergency provider move (previous provide seems to be going out of business.) After 4 day getting everything up and running, it turns out HM assigned them an IP that is currently on multiple black list servers, so many of their emails are being rejected. Wen I contact HM Tech Support, I was told it would take a WEEK to assign a new IP. When I asked if this could be expedited as this was a brand new account, they said no. When I sked them to contact the blacklist servers, they said that would be my problem. Their attitude is terrible, and their technical support people are a joke. I asked to speak to a supervisor and got a "that's just the way it is" response. Find a RESPONSIBLE company! to give your money to. one that cares about your business.
