I had multiple websites with Network Solutions. I cancelled all but one and was surprised at how high my bills still were. I called in multiple times and every time I was told that my charges were all tied to my one remaining website. Finally, after years of this, I found out that they had continued to charge me for services related to the cancelled websites, like email forwarding, rather than cancelling those when I cancelled the websites. I had repeatedly questioned what was going on and was lied to every single time. They then refused to give me refund, saying it violated company policy. Avoid this company at all costs.

August 21, 2019Network Solutions by Web.com making Un Authorized Payments and stealing money from your Debit and Credit Cards I am a blogger and hosted with Network Solutions monthly package just to check their service and give a review on web hosts on my Youtube Channel. I used Network Solutions service for a couple of months for 6 dollars per month. Then they gave me free support time for a month which i subscribed. After a month they when the time of renewal was coming i told them not to renew it and cancel the subscription as i never used the free time and that service was not needed. It costed 20 Dollars i think but they tried to charge me even i said not to charge but due to no balance in card they failed. (The debit card i used with them was specifically for online payments) After a month when i thought they will now charge me they did charged again but with lower value which was 15.99 and this time there was balance in my card. They looted me without asking me and their renewal system can not be turned off for specific service and they will reply your email if you will complain such behavior but they will not return your money or unsubscribe that service. They said to unsubscribe i will have to call them and from a foreign country that will also cost some money. The thing i did is that i have blocked my Debit card and asked for a new one. They will loot you so do not use them and they will force you as you can stop subscription of the service. There are better services so do not use networksolutions which is owned by web.com I am not the first victim they are fooling many others. I have used Google cloud, internetbs, namesilo and Amazon but they do not act this way if once auto renew fails. They will ask you for the second time. They are scams they will try to get money out of your account with lower values.

May 21, 2019I had been a client of Network Solutions for more than 23 years. They were not hosting my website (thank God!) but my domain name was registered with them. The problem was that the company that had originally registered the domain with them in my name was not around anymore. They had put my name as part of the tech team, but not as primary contact. Nonetheless, I was still the owner of the domain name and I was the person paying the bills. Recently, because I realized their registration fees were actually much higher than other companies (seriously, how could they possibly justify that?), I was thinking of transferring my domain name to another company. When I went to turn off the automatic payment renewal in my account, I realized that, EVEN AS THE PAYING OWNER OF THE DOMAIN NAME, I COULD NOT CONTROL THAT OPTION, AND I COULD NOT DO ANYTHING AT ALL ON MY OWN DOMAIN NAME. I contacted them. They explained that I had to be the primary contact in order to do that, and that I had to fill a form and provide specific documents to transfer the primary contact from the former company to my name. I then explained that the former company didn’t exist anymore and I was the only person handling everything, therefore, no one would be able to provide signatures or documents on behalf of the other company. OMG. It was like opening a can of worms. I spent the past SEVERAL MONTHS being bounced from office to office, explaining my situation again and again, exchanging email after email, being told different stories, that the issue was simple and almost resolved, then it was not, then that the docs I sent were not the right ones, then that I needed to get some of them notarized —which I did— all this to finally have them tell me that the documents were missing the “clause of indemnisation” which I had no idea what it was. All this to simply transfer a name, even as my account CLEARLY SHOWED THAT I WAS THE OWNER AND THE FINANCIAL SOURCE OF THE DOMAIN NAME. After all this time and money wasted for absolutely no result, I was so frustrated with these guys that I had enough. I could see this game was going nowhere. I had to ABANDON MY DOMAIN NAME. After 23 years. I replaced it with another one, registered with another company. Network Solutions bureaucracy is absolutely APPALLING, and their fees are absurd. Talking to these guys, day after day, was like talking to robots, who, as polite as they are, are just cogs in a big machine that is simply incapable of handling simple issues. This company is from the past, seriously. I will never, ever do business with them again.

March 06, 2019This is a truly awful company. They charge 2-3 times what all other domain registrars charge for the same service, and then hold your domain HOSTAGE by making it extremely difficult to transfer to another registrar. Honestly, I don't know why ICANN hasn't shut them down. Extremely shady practices.

September 28, 2018Network Pollution is a shame to this industry. The most crooked registrar on the planet. - Their renewal fees are a disgrace. Close to 40 $ to renew a .com each year. - They use the dodgiest upsell techniques during your checkout process. make sure you read carefuly and untick everything they try to add to your cart. - Their auto renewal policy is a joke. Auto renewals quick in like 3 months before expiry. The list is too long to be posted here. Just a disgrace of a company !!! JUST RUN MY FRIENDS AND GIVE YOUR MONEY TO A DECENT WEB COMPANY INSTEAD

September 21, 2018Unfortunately I have been using NS for 25 years, because 25 years ago they where the only game in town. I have used all of there services from one side to the other. All are WAY over price and the service is absolutely horrible from implementation to support. They just raped me on the cost of my domain renewal saying that their service was so out standing. I then spend the next two hours with tech support trying to fix a minor screw up on there part. I don't consider that supreme service. They have me trapped right now, and they are taking advantage of me, but I am now working to move everything out of NS.

July 26, 2018I've been hosted by NS for years. Now, I'm trying to get SSL certificate--pay $, get certificate, Easy, right? Not so much. After 3 long hold phone calls, web chat etc, still no access to certificate and website still doesn't show security. Network Solutions, once a well run company has failed to keep up, Not recommended.

July 20, 2018Netsol aka the worst domain registrar on the planet. These guys are incompetent and will try to rip you off at every single stage of your domain purchase and management. Their interface is hard to navigate and not user friendly at all, full of dodgy upsells with boxes you need to untick to avoid paying for additional services. Their renewal fees are a disgrace and they even email you months in advance with dodgy marketing practices such as "you domain risks getting deactivated" like 90 days before... Just run people, if I had hacking skills I would just DDOS these cu.. all day long!

February 20, 2018I was a customer at Network Solutions for 15 years and I have seen the decline after they became a web.com company. You should be very careful when it comes to billing because they will happily charge you higher prices on renewal, and also withdraw multiple times for the same product. One such problem I experienced was that they added a free hosting service to my account without me needing nor wanting it. They did not give me the option to canceling it, but I was given the option of disabling the renew process. In the end they ignored the renew process and started charging me for a service I neither wanted nor needed, and they made sure that you could not disable the renewal until the next automatic renewal would take effect. I contacted them about this and they refunded me for one month and told me that they only pay back within 45 days of the purchase of the service, that I didn't need nor ever used. It took me months to relocate my domains from these scam artists and they made sure that it would take multiple calls and tickets to their helpdesk, with extra charges and occasional refunds. Do not expect the website to just work when you intend to leave or when you are trying to avoid extra charges for services you will never want nor need. You are not their customer, you are simply a short term wallet that they intend to drain before you run away to a real service provider.

February 23, 2017My recent experience with Network Solutions has been some of the worst customer service that I have experienced. I have spent over 15 hours jumping through hoops to get my primary contact information changed after purchasing the company. Every time I called, I got a different answer of what was needed from me. I continued to be polite, albeit frustrated, through my 10 to 15 phone calls in a 3 week period. Often, it felt like they were giving me "busy work" in order to get me off of the phone. I could never speak with the same person twice - when asked, they have no direct lines, so I would have to go over the same month long debacle every time. About 50% of my emails would end up "missing" when I would follow through with phone calls. This was one of the most difficult and frustrating processes that I've ever had to go through as a business owner. Other small business owners will know that you simply cannot spend this amount of time battling with a company over a domain name!

February 19, 2017All and all, I have been happy with the tech support. The system is pretty easy to use. Three column layout works well. Once you are up and running, there should be very few reasons to call them. As other have mentioned, they DO BILL YOUR CREDIT CARD FOR UNAUTHORIZED CHARGES. The main issue that I have is how they screw you around when it's time to renew your program. Two years ago, they forced me to accept SEO (Search Engine Optimization) in order to get their best rate. This is a total rip off, and will do you no good at all. Someone without a clue will call from their company, and ask what industry you are in. Maybe they could look at your website???? Just found out they want to JACK MY RATE UP BY MORE THAN 50% WHEN I RENEW. This is outrageous. They have done this before, and you have to fight like Hell, to get a better rate. I would suggest that you STAY AWAY FROM WEB.COM and NETWORK SOLUTIONS. NWS used to be a super company, but WEB.COM ruined them for sure.

February 01, 2017I have used Network Solutions for 7 years. Yes, 7 years. I have an extremely complex web site with high end products. At the previous company I worked at, I was able to create more than (10) Product Layout Designs, and now I am only allowed to create (10). THAT IS A SIGNIFICANT DROP OFF. Why is this? No one from Network Solutions can give me a valid, logical, reasonable, professional, genuine answer. And, I would legitimately be pleased with at least ONE of those adjectives. I keep getting the run around from EVERY person I speak with: MARK, IAN, PATRICK, JEREMY LARAMORE. I was just told on the phone that I was "not allowed to speak to a Network Solutions Engineer because they have priorities." So. I guess that means they don't consider CUSTOMER SATISFACTION as a priority.....And that their customers are NOT priorities. Does anyone have a recommendation for another, better company to switch to? If so, feel free to e-mail me: bstone@columnsdirect.com I appreciate it.

December 14, 2016Had a charge for $400 on our credit card. This charge was no where on our account history of charges or auto renewals. Support person was clueless and ridiculously unhelpful in both her understanding of the issue and competence to figure it out. They could not explain the charge. Recommended I fax a form to another department who could research the charge. Did that and I never heard back. I emailed twice and they never responded. Now we have a big charge on our CC that nobody can or will explain. Technically, their service has been good.

August 04, 2016I set up an account with network solutions in 2006 to host my web site and buy some domain names. Recently they have started to market their web.com company to all of their customers. (The BIGGEST SCAM EVER) They sold me on some web site optimization services for $100.00 per month. These services were a JOKE. What they did is charged me the 100.00 to sell my phone # to everyone and hinder my business, by wasting my time on the phone trying to sell me their junk services. Their sales reps were pushy and really didn't know how to help me in any way. Just cancelled their services, they hit my credit card for $100.00 as soon as I got off the phone with them. Done with Network Solutions and Web.com

June 17, 2016I've never dealt with a company with worse customer service in my life. We've had endless trouble with emails bouncing from customers for no apparent reason and I've called in to the support center 6+ times (not to mention several emails as well) and the issue has still not been resolved! On one of the calls they confessed that our server was 16 YEARS OLD and that "you could have it updated for free, did you want that?" ...OF COURSE!? I highly recommend staying away from this company - nothing but a waste of time and money.

June 08, 2016Horrible experience with Network Solution. I bought one of my domains with web forwarding, premium DNS, professional hosting, mobile website, ns marketing, emails all for domain I once planned to work on but then changed my mind, problem was they don't let you stop the monthly auto renewal as long as the domain is still valid. I wrote them so many times to please stop the charges I dont want to renew those services, just leave the domain I bought active. I only got the round around FOR 2 YEARS, emails ignored and till answered after months they told me they need more info and to open a ticket, so I did, and yet was completely ignored, wrote them since several tickets - luckily now they save them on your account so I can prove it to my bank. yet, again same stories even to cancel the agreement is a nightmare. I just don't understand how can they force an auto renewal on anyone without any issue? now of course I moved all my domains away from them, They are scammers! STAY AWAY!

March 10, 2016I was having issues with them since day one and its been two years. At first I thought it was me and I needed to get to know it. Their email server thru their own hosting suck. No junk folder or anything. Space, nothing. You will have to either purchase more storage or delete emails every other day. price is very expensive and its for nothing. I don't get emails from so many people although I put them in the safe list. Funny that I have to purchase spam folder. It was available at first and then they took it away. There customer service is the worse. It might be good for sales, they will treat you like an angel and once you buy, then they will start treating you like you're nothing. rude, horrible, you name it. Well, it was my fault not

March 09, 2016What a scam! I have been charged for a year for an email add-on called Productivity Bundle. $40 per email address- to allow you to sync between accounts. I never ordered it and they would only credit me back 6 months. I didn't notice it on my payments. They couldn't explain what it was doing there, what it did or who ordered it. They were rude on the phone and it took me an hour to get to the right person to remove it. If you can use anyone else, I suggest it. NS has been a massive pain in the neck since I began using them.

January 21, 2016I was hired to transfer a site away from Network Solutions by a small art gallery, just before their account with NS expired. Their reasons included a barrage of spam emails and charges to their credit card that they didn't authorize. I set them up with WebHostingHub, the most professional host for the money I have ever encountered, and NS wants $58 to 'reactivate' the domain long enough to transfer it away from them. They did lengthen the hosting plan by 15 days to enable me to ftpdown the files in order to upload them to Webhostinghub, but it looks like my client either has to get blackmailed by NS for a year of service they didn't want or backorder their domain name. My client wants to leave Network Solutions and I can completely understand why. Look for reviews of these clowns on other sites. There's a reason they're a one-star general.

Pathetic excuse for a registrar
Never ever, ever, EVER, get involved with this organization. And if you currently use them, RUN and I mean RUN as fast as you possibly can to another organization. Something is deeply wrong with their technical ability. Perhaps they are still riding on their own coattails from 25 years ago, but they are pretty much pathetic at being a registrar. So many technical issues, you can't make anything live. Support is staffed by nice people who don't have a clue. They should change their name from network solutions to network problem, network dilemma, network trouble or even better, NETWORK MESS.
