How to Check Software or Packages Version in Linux

versionThere are a variety of software installed on linux and windows servers. In particular time, we are required to review and check the version of the software or packages that we have installed on any operating system. I have prepared a list command line on how to check the software and packages versions of linux CentOS operating system.

1. How to check postfix MTA version :

# postconf -d | grep mail_version
mail_version = 2.10.1
milter_macro_v = $mail_name $mail_version

2. How to check PHP version. The result will also shows ionCube loader if any :

# php -v
PHP 5.4.16 (cli) (built: Oct 31 2014 12:59:36)

3. How to check PHP fast CGI version :

4. How to check Nginx version :

5. How to check Nginx version and configuration options :

11. How to check zimbra collaboration suites version :

13. To check OpenSSH client version :

14. How to check mysql Client version :
